  1. We talked about it a few times, Hak was getting in the Froz4 pretty regularly. Blais probably only once since UND?
  2. The game tradition revolved around Battle for the Nickel - UND has a 62-45-3 edge Here's my recollection of what happened, in the summer of 2014. Bubba wanted to play the Bison, asked Faison to broker a deal. Faison came back, they will only play us twice, 2015 & 2019 and both in the MP. Bubba said take it. Taylor and Faison agreed to terms, NDSU will provide UND $125,000 and $140,000, plus 500 tickets / game & UND to bring its band and cheer team. Bubba smiled. Bubba probably knows better than anyone what this game means. He served as as an assistant late 1980s - early 2000s, experienced first hand this super-charged rivalry. I will use only two memories here, which are only possible if we play: A turning point sprung from out of nowhere when it was least expected. The incident known in UND athletic history as the “Mike Mooney game” or simply as the “The strip.” In 1993, in the fourth quarter at UND's Memorial Stadium, UND was bracing for its 13th straight loss to NDSU, when suddenly bedlam ensued. UND linebacker Mike Mooney, who, folklore holds was turned down by NDSU in the recruiting process years earlier, stripped the ball from a Bison player and scampered the other way for a UND touchdown and an eventual 22-21 victory over the vaunted Bison. 1998 in Fargo, Greenwaldt hit Kleinsasser on a quick slant over the middle for 77 yd sprinting TD. In September 2015 Schweigert said , "You have great memories of the rivalry and that's why I feel it's so important for it to be part of our student athlete experience and for our fan base and for our alums." I hope we play them in September! They have not had a packed house in the MP all season except for the last playoff game and only cuz of CK leaving, this one will be.
  3. You guys had a draft pick misfire. He was never good enough to be a #2. Philly stupidly traded up and drafted too high. No body else would of taken him that high. Big mistake.
  4. I just can't see Hak coasting. But, I'm sure he would be more than welcomed back!
  5. $300,000 seems like a lot for this buy out being the two games were put together back when Bubba was relatively early into the head coaching job. I taught we received around $100,000 per game for playing them, but the buy out amount could be different? Other two options for them is Delaware and UC Davis.
  6. Much larger area involved than Arbor Park. Two cities and two states weighing in. Need lots of entities coming together.
  7. You just had a good post yesterday in the Early Signing Day GDT thread, now you flipped again. NO one is asking for your facts, or your self indulgent responses. Try visiting some other forums, you might come to appreciate this one more?
  8. I see this post as from some young whimper snapper who has some personal challenges. Not much merit in the arrow you shot. Hak, has come from another country and served this country well! UND especially. Here he studied, played, coached and married locally. Apparently, that's a bigger nut than you could ever swallow. Then they moved on and lived the AMERICAN DREAM! May God bless them.
  9. I understand where your coming from, but this process has it's margin of error.
  10. This has been going on for quite some time. Decision makers are getting more serious about the total benefit to the public. Expensive project, more desired by ND. Most ND citizens don't understand the MN picture in this equation. Once this gets traction, it will move forward.
  11. Don't forget your rusty smelly truck outside.
  12. Just like Foles knows how to get the team to play together, even the defense joins in.
  13. Now, that's a better post! A FBS Q drop and landing in the Hawks Nest would be a good add to this great class of new comers.
  14. Sheep herder. Took animal science a few winter quarters then slipped out.
  15. Add in, from the Hwy #2 / Red River crossing, Hwy #2 angles SE towards Fisher. A road from the new river crossing could go a easterly direction to catch Hwy #2 somewhere north of Fisher.
  16. With EGF's new schools to the South, someone for seen the future with this Red River crossing to the south?
  17. Would help develop west if I29. GF is too spread N & S and not enough going west.
  18. James Madison U in Virginia ? Eagles lost their longtime star quarterback Gubrud to injury early in the year, but Barriere has played brilliantly in relief. Didn't quite finish my last post: Now @ Home Depot Premium all natural ingredients
  19. EWU beat Maine (50-19) that knocked out Weber State which was on of two losses EWU had, the other being Wash St - also on the road. EWU was the last team to win the FCS (2010 season) before this run by our friends to the south. NDSU didn’t happen to play any FBS teams, in fact they only played 4 games outside of the Manure Pit. That brings up a very interesting fact, which helps bring alumni back to Fargo for the games, and another reason why fans want so many home games. They go Home Depot shopping before the games: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Black-Kow-50-lb-Composted-Cow-Manure-BLKCOW/202287053 . Can't live with out the stuff.
  20. Massey could be right, but he had us wrong as far as getting in the NCAA's during the last week of regular season (most of us included). This could be a good match up. Bison are very strong against the run, but could be vulnerable against EWU's passing game? EWU's defense is going to be vulnerable to the running game.
  21. Foles is in and Wentz is on the sidelines in Philly for the Eagles. Hakstol is out in Philly and Klieman is in in the Little Apple. So much sports media, the Philly sports writers are over heating. Just hate it when FB posts get mixed in a hockey thread!
  22. Some Bissons fans, very few Bison fans there, so they have that going for them. Hockey is KING
  23. Rams lost in Chicago a week ago and nobody blinked. But the Foles and the Eagles show last night in LA raises some questions about the Rams loss. The unstoppable Rams have some cogs slipping. Can Coach McVay bring them back? Back to Philly, Foles was on a mission. Does he have the carisma that helps the whole team wanna play? They looked over whelming at times, only 7-7 but on the march. They do need help to get in with two games left.
