  1. I'm not quite there, yet anyway, hearing a lot of concerns.
  2. Report: Vikings finalizing multi-year extension with Mike Zimmer https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/report-vikings-finalizing-multi-year-extension-with-mike-zimmer/ar-BB1746Zu?ocid=msedgdhp
  3. It was purple - this thread is getting a little over the edge, just trying to cheer you up!
  4. Will airline negative #'s hurt UND's Aerospace enrollment. United Airlines worries travel recovery will stall until there’s a COVID vaccine https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/news/united-airlines-worries-travel-recovery-will-stall-until-there-s-a-covid-vaccine/ar-BB174hoY?ocid=msedgdhp Their only jab at the competition was in making the claim that the carrier outperformed peers with a smaller loss.
  5. Masks, washing hands, social distancing might help! Coronavirus Model Decreases Death Projection as Mask Wearing Increases The model, which is run by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington, predicts nearly 220,000 deaths in the U.S. by Nov. 1. That number is down nearly 5,000 from its previous estimate a week ago. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/coronavirus-model-decreases-death-projection-as-mask-wearing-increases/ar-BB1743Rk?ocid=msedgdhp
  6. One of the scariest things about coronavirus is how wide-ranging the illness' symptoms can be, running the gamut from a mild cough to major organ failure. And while having mild symptoms may seem preferable, new research suggests that having a less severe case of coronavirus could shorten the period during which you're immune in the future. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/if-your-coronavirus-case-is-mild-it-s-not-all-good-news-study-shows/ar-BB173TjY?ocid=msedgdhp
  7. How November election could be impacted by a fall without football https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/how-november-election-could-be-impacted-by-a-fall-without-football/ar-BB172Nhq?ocid=msedgdhp Halloween and college football are scheduled to coincide this fall, three days before national elections, with the COVID-19 pandemic an unwelcome backdrop to all of it.
  8. Just rumor, from staff. Hearing on line classes. Some variations at Aerospace and Medschool. Should hear first week of August, also rumor.
  9. UND continues to lead the state in online classes. Med School might have a hybrid plan.
  10. Cratter has done so in a few posts back and in just your previous post you have also. I was questioning it?
  11. You actually now think a mask is a sign of a Trump supporter?
  12. Not so fast. Trump has previously downplayed the importance of wearing masks and has only worn one a handful of times in public during the four-plus months of the pandemic. "I think the President was making a good point that if he wears a mask, it would encourage others to wear a mask," Fauci said. "I wish he would get out of the political arena, and just understand it for what it is. It's a public health mechanism." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/fauci-says-he-wasn-t-aware-white-house-coronavirus-briefings-were-returning/ar-BB170JIU?ocid=msedgdhp
  13. So, about 1% of US population tested positive for Covid. Of that 1% that tested positve, 1% are in a serious/critical condition. So how high can we let the serious/critcal condition #'s go before the hospitals cann't handle the sick?
  14. Man in 30s youngest North Dakotan to die of COVID-19 as rise in active cases slow https://www.grandforksherald.com/newsmd/coronavirus/6581285-Man-in-30s-youngest-North-Dakotan-to-die-of-COVID-19-as-rise-in-active-cases-slow
  15. On CNN, interviewed. Jordon Josey tested positve twice for Covid-19 in 3 months time frame.
  16. The hard part would be convincing MAC teams to part, or else go to 10 or 12 teams.
  17. Miy wife taught special ed for 40 years. Same feelings on distance learning.
  18. I think DU could see the positives here. 4 teams in Minnesota with 4 teams to the west. Potentially St. Thomas plus another a little later. Hockey would only grow in the imediate region. Mankato and Bemidji fan base should grow, could even help St. Cloud fan base.
  19. Good comments. Miami and W Michgan out and Mankato and Bemidji in (both good hockey programs, also 20 game winners last year). Maybe St Thomas next time. Let teams move without the league penalties this time. Tough to get everyone to agree, but maybe this time around, it's do-able.
  20. 1.3 million more applied for unemployment. The $600 is soon to run out.
  21. Can you get infected with COVID-19 twice? Experts say possibility is 'certainly real' Glatter says he has cared for a "number of patients" who suffer only mild initial infections, get better and actually test negative for the virus before experiencing a recurrence of symptoms. The intensity can be worse the second time, he says. "These patients develop difficulty breathing, leading to hypoxia, aches, chest pain, with recurrent and unrelenting fevers and chills," he said, adding that they then test positive again. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/can-you-get-infected-with-covid-19-twice-experts-say-possibility-is-certainly-real/ar-BB16OqVL?ocid=msedgdhp
  22. Can anyone explain what is supposed to happen on Oct 17th at The Ralph. Is UND going to reschedule a Hall of Fame game in GF being Penn State is not playing us on that date? On it's published schedule it has TBA for an opponent in GF. https://fightinghawks.com/sports/mens-ice-hockey/schedule/2020-21 That leads me to the next question, who backed out of the Oct 17th, 2020 game in Nashville? Penn State? Hall of Fame? Nashville? Us? From the GF Herald article. "We have been closely monitoring the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and have tried to work through multiple scenarios, but after much consideration, we have made the decision to officially postpone the Nashville event and rescheduled it to October 30, 2021," said Ralph Engelstad Arena Jody Hodgson, Another Question, if Nashville games is cancelled because of COVID-19, why we playing other games in October?
