During halftime show, Wally Szczerbiak said Eaglestaff might be on the Alabama plane ride home. Funny not funny.

I’ve gone 360 degrees on this. At first, as a fan, I absolutely hated it. Hard to become invested/interested in a team that completely turns over every year and any time there is a glimmer of hope it leaves. But then I realized, college sports doesn’t exist for the fans it should be doing what is best for the players. If a player didn’t get opportunity early but through hard work opens up new opportunities they should be allowed to do what is best for them. But now, with all these multiple transfers I’m back to wondering who this is good for? You can’t tell me you are getting a good education if you play for 3 different schools over 4 years? $100,000 NIL sounds amazing to a kid but in the grand scheme of life it’s absolutely nothing especially if it leaves you without an education and/or a plan for life.

Does anyone know if they will continue to sell 'all session' tickets after the tournament starts? I've always bought our tickets on Saturday morning when we get there but the Friday play in is a new thing. Pretty sure 9 session package is still cheaper than buying 8 sessions individually (even though I'm skipping the Friday session). As an FYI they also usually have an all session package with drink tickets. (I'm morally opposed to paying ticket master fees when I can avoid them)

Was thinking the same thing. I've been at the tournament Saturday and wondered if I was the only non-parent UND fan there. The lone exception was the year we played NDSU in the championship game. I think they brought a fan bus or two down. I remember Bubba was there too, I gave him my seat when some late arriving SDSU fans kicked him out of their seats LOL. The little pre-game hospitality room was so full it was hard to even get into. (I'm still trying to purge the results of that game from my brain)

Will be there Saturday morning to Wednesday morning. I can't find anything definitive on Bruner injury. Was kind of hoping to watch him play on Saturday. Was also hoping for the upset of KC.

Found this on Wiki page so must be true: If a team that is not eligible for the NCAA Tournament wins the Summit League Tournament, the conference's automatic bid goes to the highest seeded postseason eligible team. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_Summit_League_men's_basketball_tournament

If St Thomas wins the tournament does the regular season champion get the auto bid?

Trying to follow UND sports is getting expensive. So now I need an nchc sub for hockey, espn plus sub for football, and now I also need a summit league streaming package for basketball. Oh and make sure you have a serviCe that Carrie’s CBS sports network for select games and tournament.

STEP ON THEIR THROAT!!!!

Usually watch on ESPN plus but meeting some fellow UND alum up in the cities on Saturday. Any advice on a good sports bar/restaurant to watch the game at?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if they win the tournament who gets the auto bid? Tourney runner up or regular season champion? I would hope the latter but I have no idea. -

I’ve gone to all of the games over the last five years (except the year they didn’t allow fans). I’ve never bought tickets in advance. The first couple years we went SDSU men got knocked out in first round and SDSU fans gave us their tickets for free. You can usually sit in lower level even if your actual tickets are upper deck. Most sessions don’t come close to filling up unless both SD schools are In the session. I’ll second great atmosphere and facility. Also love the craft beer selections and there is usually a great build your own bloody Mary Bar on the top level that comes with one free with certain upper deck tickets. Our Tuesday afternoon tradition (only time no games going on) is to go to a great steak house downtown (Minerva’s I think) Unfortunately both my kids have major events going on this weekend so I wont be going. If either or both teams make it to Monday I will be very tempted to take off of work and drive over. -
Wow, James Madison ranked 25 in FBS AP poll.

Just turned on a random basketball game and interim head coach Brian Jones is coaching against Ben Jacobson

One more 8th spot scenario: I forgot St Thomas actually has 3 games remaining. If UND beats UST and NDSU Omaha loses to WIllinois and UST and UST also beats Denver Their would then be a three way tie for 8th which I think would go to UND as they would have the best head to head between the three teams at 3-1. I know this is still a snowball chance in hell territory but I am going to Summit tournament with some NDSU fans and I need to keep hope alive as long as I can :-). Just win today and I can keep dreaming for a few more days. -

It wasn’t meant as an attack, I had spent some time earlier in the day trying to understand the tie break rules and thought maybe I missed or misunderstood something. I VERY much appreciate the time and information SWSiouxMN adds to this site. -

Why would we need the ORU losses, #4, 8? We split with Omaha. We were both swept by ORU and SDSU. As long as NDSU finishes ahead of KC I don’t think it matters where ORU is -
King Mo. Sorry, not a regular here, but a UND grad who just noticed a local kid committed to UND. Kasson is up 35-0 on Fridley in the quarterfinals. I will probably be taking the kids to US Bank on Thursday for semis.

Does anyone know if/when tickets will go on sale in Frisco? Been cooped up for so long I don't even care who makes it at this point. I'll watch UND, NDSU, and/or SDSU. Toyota Stadium is allowing 50% for other sports right now and the NCAA announced 50% for other playoff games this weekend so I assume they will be allowing fans. Likely 50%? Flights are dirt cheap, the hotels are dirt cheap. Just need to figure out the ticket situation.

How do we share championshipif we are 4-1 and other two teams are 5-1. Win % doesn’t matter? Only losses matter? Confused (but happy) -
Just go to the ticket office and buy the cheapest ticket they have and then sit wherever you want. We have been given more tickets then we have bought by SDSU fans. All of our tickets have been upper deck and we’ve yet to sit up there. We’ve sat lower deck every game. Just stay out of parent areas and respect usd/SDSU fans if they actually show up and ask you to move. There are plenty of good seats not being used
