Ed said either June 30th or when the kids come back. I hope its June 30th.

I feel like the delay in a logo is just icing on the cake of the long, too drawn out process. Just get it over with would ya!

Nashville would be amazing.  All the bars are right down the street from the arena and that town is town is fun no matter what day of the week you are there. Also, don't even get me started with the food options down there....

I've never been into Bridestone but it seems pretty nice based on the pictures I've seen and there are certainly enough hotels in that city to support an event like this.  Nashville checks all the boxes.  I'd love to see the Frozen Four end up there one day.

Grew up in Nashville, go back frequently, and would love to make a visit for the Frozen Four. Bridgestone Arena is a great facility, despite being 20 years old. They are also doing some major renovations, including new seats.

I remember they hosted a UAH versus Merrimack in 2011 which had low attendance, but seems that would be expected.  I also vaguely remember Arena folks did attempt to land either a Frozen Four or Regional a few years ago, but not sure why it failed.

I live near South Middle School in Grand Forks and for a few weeks saw youth lacrosse teams playing on the athletic fields. I have also seen several lax nets while walking around my neighborhood.  Seems to be some type of popularity in the region.

I hope it's not Famous Dave's.  A new concept would be great in that part of town.  The ownership are the guys behind JL Beers and Vinyl Taco, among others, so hopefully they've got something good up their sleeve.

Famous Dave's is one of those places that is great when you travel, but once you have one, you don't go nearly as often as you thought you would.

I would single handily keep Vinyl Taco in business. Grand Forks needs more quality, local or regional restaurants.

Just for comparison, Fargo's library that was built in 2009 was just under 53,000 square feet.

But Fargo has three different branches. I never heard a proposal that included a second, smaller branch in Grand Forks. Seems it would be a cheap option if they could find space for reasonable rent instead of building new. It should not impact staffing too much because I believe most are volunteers.

If he doesn't mind the short drive to Cooperstown, I strongly recommend both parts of the Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile Site.  Also, since he is old enough to be a cold war kid, he can appreciate the numerous missile silo sites and launch control centers that still "exist" and can be spotted in one form or another throughout the region, as well as the mothballed anti-missile missile facilities near Cavalier and Nekoma, and the still operational Cavalier Air Force Station that is a fantastically curious block of stone on the prairie.  The USAF used to have open houses and let people tour, but I don't think they've had one in a while.

And if he drives up towards Cavalier, there's no excuse to miss the Pembina Gorge and the Walhalla scenic overlook.

Cavalier Air Force Station is having an open house on June 11th. Great opportunity to see a very unique military installation

If he likes music, there's the monthly "Blues on the Red" series. http://downtowngrandforks.org/happy-harrys-blues-on-the-red-concerts/  There are also other random music concerts on occasion.  There's also a newer event called "Alley Alive": https://www.facebook.com/alleyalive/.  And I haven't been to it yet, but would like to attend the concerts in the garden at the NDMOA. http://www.ndmoa.com/concerts

Found it interesting that the CoBPA will have two new majors, Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Bachelor of Leadership.

Ya I don't get these. Seems leadership is something you learn through experience and what's the difference between entrepreneurship and business management?

How long ago did  the Albatross fold?

I don't understand why nothing is successful there, especially being so close to campus. I hate to say this but needs to be a "Herd & Horns" type of establishment.
