  1. Was thinking the same thing. Haven't they had College Gameday in Fargo twice?
  2. There are 16 core sports in the Big Sky, plus one for hockey, bringing us to 17. The Summit has 17 core sports, plus one for a football affiliate, and one for hockey, bring us to 19. Wouldn't moving to the Summit make more problems by adding more core sports, and ultimately more expense? Or wouldn't UND have to carry all Summit core sports, if the move was made?
  3. Does the investment they made in the HPC keep M & W Track and Field safe? Maybe cross county piggy backs off of T & F, being so closely related?
  4. John Buccigross Tweeted his CawlidgeHawkey preseason top ten. Gave a lot of love to the NCHC, with UND in the #1 spot. I was surprised to see two Big Ten teams on the list. Here is the list with his commentary about each team 1.North Dakota - Tyson Jost (Avalanch #1 pick) joins @BBoeser16, good D, & a goalie 2. Boston U - Cue The Verve Pipe. @CMcAvoy44 has Hobey Baker potential 3. Denver - Trevor Moore's summer signing with Leafs hurts 4. Duluth - No comment 5. St. Cloud - Twins, Jack & Nick Poehling with brother Ryan form "Bro Line" 6. Minnesota - From almost a buyout to extension for Lucia 7. Yale - Kevin Stevens son, Luke, is wagon material. Incoming Freshman 8. Boston College - Colin White (@Senators 1st rounder) could be in 60pt territory 9. Providence - Scout: "I think Providence has a chance to be really good" 10.Notre Dame - No comment
  5. I thought the reveal was cool too. More fun then the grey uniform reveal with just a picture. Well done IMO. I'm excited for the season!
  6. Helmets get a big thumbs up from me!

  8. It's hard to admit, but I am sloooowly warming up to the logo. I do think the D needs a little work still, as mentioned prior, but this isn't bad.
  9. Great take, and what a "Great Goalie Mind". I have a theory. You must be an Engineer per your username. You must be a goalie to throw down analysis like that. So are you Matt Hrynkiw !?!?
  10. UPDATE: It was Ruttger's: http://www.grandforksherald.com/features/food/4068144-marilyn-hagerty-ruttgers-lake-bemidji-peaceful-spot-bite Does that give Bemidji the edge in Restaurants? Or has the legendary Marilyn Hagerty reviewed a Mankato restaurant too?
  11. Not sure, maybe Marilyn Hagerty knows? Haha, I actually think she recently took her Eat Beat to Bemidji. Not sure what restaurant.
  12. JJ's Dockside is literally contiguous with the Sanford Center. Was there over the 4th and looked like it would be a blast before a game. Other walkable places are Corner Bar, Keith's Old River Pizza Co., Green Mill, etc.. I haven't been to Mankato, so couldn't compare, but Bemidji is more than just the lake.
  13. I'm not sure how many viewers Tim has... But I see what you're getting at.
  14. I had season tickets for the Viking for two years. Immigrant Song is such a sweet intro song. If I'm watching the Vikes at home on TV I'll still play it on my phone to get pumped up. Does the Alerus play the same intro song? If they do, it must suck, because I've had season tickets for 5 years and couldn't tell you what it is. If my memory serves me correct doesn't the PA announce "here comes the University of North Dakota!" followed by the band? Not terrible, but doesn't do much for me.
  15. Disclaimer: I'm not a Basketball guy. Last night was my first game I've attended since the Montana game in 2014, but I'll "jump in the paint" and give my take from what I saw. The Game: Its well documented UND didn't have a great start and Waldorf played with UND the first half. While I was a little disappointed UND didn't play with the same fire was Waldorf, I think its pretty common for an opponent from a lesser division coming out swinging. Its the clichéd "it was there super bowl". With that said and also previously commented, UND came out and played much better in the second half. I thought they ramped up their defensive intensity and Waldorf couldn't keep up with the tempo. Shot started falling for UND as well. In the end, UND took care of business, but it would have been nice to see them ready from the tip. The Players: I haven't seen Hooker since his freshman season and I think he has matured well. His command, composure, and vision, I thought, were impressive and improved. Crandall didn't flash to me, until the second half, when his skill and potential became evident. Obviously still a little raw, but someone to be excited to have. I was told to watch for Seales, but hardly noticed anything from him last night, he only played 16 minutes. Juries out on that one. The Big Men weren't too impressive and seemed like that might be a weakness going into Big Sky play. Avants got rolling a little offensively late in the game, but when Hooker is on top of the box score with 7 boards, it seems a little backwards to me. Where is Cashman? I thought I had heard a lot of hype on him when he while he was being recruited. The Coach: Did a nice job tweaking the game plan and half, the players came out with new energy and seemed to execute the game play. Would be nice to start at the opening jump ball. His deficiencies are well documented and I can't say I disagree with them. During the game I couldn't look his way during the game. His body language was bothersome, always seemed to be whining about something. I had fun at the game and would like to go to another, preferable a Big Sky opponent.
  16. Came across a couple tickets to tonight's game so I'm going to give it a go. I haven't been to a game since 13-14 season when Josh Schuler, Aaron Anderson, Jaron Nash, and Troy Huff were playing. I'm assuming lots has changed and I know everyone's down on Jones, but who should I watch for tonight?
  17. I would prefer to keep all 4 together. Last call. $100.00 for all 4 tickets.
  18. Its game day and these tickets have to go! They are on the end the Sioux shoot twice. $40 a piece, or make an offer.
  19. I have 4 tickets for sale for Friday night's game against the Badgers. I paid $50 a piece so would like to get that for them. Please send me an text if interested. (701-265-2129) Sec 303 Row L Seats 32-35
