  1. With the rumors that have been said, do you blame them for being upset? Imagine supposedly being back stabbed by an assistant coach who at any point during the post seasons misses and 1st rd exits you could’ve replaced but you didn’t.
  2. Lower body injury that has caused him to miss time this year acting up again.
  3. Idk if you watch the games or just check the score boxes but I’ve seen him play live and since he joined Tri City. Offensively he obviously checks the boxes but the other side of his game needs development, typical high end High School player transition. Good thing is he is already fixing his mistakes of over handling the puck and learning you can’t beat players at higher levels 1 on 1 like he did for Shakopee.
  4. The new head coach for your Fighting Sioux didn’t like his game as a 16 year old sophomore to be junior, that’s straight from his mouth and Jaysons dad. That’s why he isn’t here. Much like Mancini all the kid ever wanted to do was to play for UND. UMD offered right away and Jayson committed. Brad stepped in after Carson’s state tourney in 2023 and got him on campus right away and offered, weren’t missing on him like they did with his uncle (yes Jayson is Carson’s uncle). Offensively Carson is struggling this year, barely any points on the score sheet for the last 2 1/2 months, coincidentally with him moving down the lineup to a 3rd line role. I personally think he’s lacking the confidence right now, all the tools are there. Maybe a change of scenery next year or commitment from the coaching staff next year and he’ll put up the 40, 50 or 60 points everyone is this forum wants him to put up.
  5. There might be a wall photo of the team still up at Purpur if anyone wants to confirm.
  6. Dave Fennell, Mussman thought he was gonna fund the Indoor himself.
  7. Everyone handles grieving in their own way. If the rumors of what went behind Brads back then I would be pissed too.
  8. At the end of the day the players that remain here contributed to getting a coach fired. They better up their game and play to their potential.
  9. Missles, absolute missles. Impossible to compete with that.
  10. https://www.usahockeyntdp.com/news_article/show/1334388 Colin Grubb - Minot got the invite to camp.
  11. Just the 10 MN kids that got invites, YHH tweeted out the names earlier this AM.
  12. I didn’t want to include the Vigs, Luc Bydal, Getzlaff because they went to Jrs vs going to Tier 1. But thanks for adding in the ones I missed who went Tier 1.
  13. I've been wanting to make this list for awhile, and with all the talk about leaving ND in this forum I decided to put my research pants on and compile a list of players who've left ND for Tier 1 with their current teams this year. Lot of good, lot of not so good and a lot still TBD. Couple things did stand out to me, West Fargo 07-08 birth years loaded and if you're from Minot you're probably better off staying in Minot. Enjoy! 2002 Hayden Helgeson - Grand Forks - didn’t play any hockey after 18u Northstar Christian (2021) Brady Braun - West Fargo - didn’t play any hockey after 18u Des Moines Buccaneers (2021) Blaise Miller - Grand Forks - Concordia College (NCAAD3) Ben Strinden - Fargo - UND (NCAAD1) Dane Montgomery - Grand Forks - UND (NCAAD1) Nick Pineo (Goalie) - Grand Forks - Not on active roster this year, last played 2023 Hudson Havoc (USPHL Premier) Jackson Kunz - Grand Forks - UND (NCAAD1) 2003 Liam Cox-Smith - Minot - Liberty Univ. If I missed a few feel free to mention them and where they're playing this year.
  14. I edited the 16u score for you.
  15. Their dad has been flooding that famous ODR in their backyard since Hammer was in diapers.
  16. I think it just the rink rat mentality and hockey people being involved. Warroad had a very similar dip in competitiveness last decade. There is a solid group of next generation players coming up in Roseau at the squirt and mites levels too to potentially turns things around.
  17. It’ll never end, it’s only going to get worse. They’re 2010 birth years in Grand Forks who already have advisors. Do you think they’re going to advise them to stay in ND or go the Tier 1 route?
  18. You have your facts all mixed up. His parents did get a divorce right around that time and he was born in the twin cities. But he lived in Warroad at least since Kindergarten. How do I know? Well I’m looking at a photo album right now and he was in my class.
  19. For someone who gets mad when people say ignorant comments about comparing ND high school hockey to MN high school hockey, you say something like this? What goes on with that girls program has nothing to do with the boys program. Warroads recent success at getting back to the state tourney, their Mr Hockey, their Frank Brimsek award winner, their Team USA 4 Nations player are/were home grown. Sure Oshie moved in from Washington, but he’ll be the first one to admit he wouldn’t be where he is at without the free ice and culture/program Warroad provided him. There are programs on the ND/MN border who are currently/have recruited more players into their respective programs than Warroad.
  20. Elite Prospects has him as an 08.
  21. No sorry. Cullen, Lindberg and Laurilla would be on the Spuds HS team if they stayed.
  22. Crazy part about this Moorhead team is they have 2 players playing in the NTDP and another playing for the Force that would be on this team.
