Rough times for Mankato
It's coaching in MN and the school isn't circling the drain like its Stearns County equivalent. They will get some good applicants. With Knott passing on it they need to take their time now.

Is he going to Badgerland to continue working with Hastings?
If a Kato fan bets you he isn't, take it.

Knott is in the portal, passing on the Mankato job.

Kleven with an assist in what has been a crazy game so far.

Ness would be a good PK specialist. Have him as an extra skater and use his fresh legs whenever we are down a man.

As expected, Gleason to UST

Blood is correct, game happens so fast and it didn't look malicious on his part.

Connor McMenamin from PSU looks like a good portal player based on his captainship and stats.

I see that a gopher fan tweeted a reply to Schloss’ announcement about Persson, quoting his numbers and laughing. Clearly this person has absolutely no clue about the kind of goaltender he is and the fact he played on some absolutely gawd awful teams.
Hopefully someone responded with the requisite "tell us you don't know anything about hockey without telling us..."

Maybe Cade Littler, Aaron Pionk or Jakob Stender are thinking twice about Mankato now?

The one thing about Moore is he had a family connection to Berry. His dad or uncle played with and possibly roomed with Berry in the minors. Would have to go back to Moore's commit article in the Herald for specifics but I don't think either party would be malicious to the other based on this.

In 2016 Minnesota hosted and didn’t make the tournament but the Committee sent SCSU to that regional (and then they lost to Ferris State and Denver advanced) and UND went to Cincinnati. I think that’s the last time Minnesota hosted a regional.

It was funny. You seem to be overthinking this.
Minnesota hockey cracking a joke about UND doing a good job hosting a tourney their team didn't qualify for is funny. End of story.
If/when UND ever has a chance to do the same to Minnesota, I hope UND's attempt is more "savage" as the kids say.

You ok?
It was not well composed; brevity is key in humor. Textbook Minnesota passive aggressive too. But they earned the right to do it, just needed a few eyeballs and input before hitting send (like much of what is on social media).

Can someone explain if he is really from Fargo? Because his bio on the UNO website lists his hometown as White Bear Lake, MN.

With his numbers, he would have been 4th in scoring on UND. It would be nice though if they could get a big two-way center with faceoff ability that they can count on in the clutch.
Anyone with local ties is worth a look. Also, Omaha is essentially riding our coattails, let's turn them into a farm team. Tychonick and Tomek were sent down; Morelli, Ward, Archibald and Zombo all could have been "called up" under current rules.

20 miles to UMi; 75 miles to MSU.
But they're not spending any time there. The big difference is they are now older when they commit, used to be everyone was already committed when they joined the program anyways.

Yeah ok. That’s like UND moving from Grand Forks to Reynolds. What a dumb reply
You're the one who had a long winded post not knowing what you were talking about...

Are you sure? There may be some truth to that rumor. We only recently get players from the NTDP that committed before they went there or they’re from the area. The U17 head coach (former U18 assistant) is from Grand Forks and has been with the NTDP for awhile. His father worked for the WCHA/NCHC at both Ralph’s every home weekend for 30+ years. Does anyone know why there’s not a positive recruiting pipeline relationship there? I find it odd with that type of connection that we don’t have a single recruit from the NTDP right now, last year, or hardly at all recently. Clearly the NTDP has taken over (from Shattuck) as the “honey hole” for top US born college hockey prospects in the past ten years or so. Located in Ann Harbor, they are the best thing to happen to Michigan Hockey in the past 50 years as kids love it there and commit to stay there. But Minnesota, BU, BC , etc have gotten their fair share of high-Enders from the NTDP and we have gotten 0 lately. (Unless they are from the area or committed before they went there). Does anyone know why?
It hasn't been in Ann Arbor for a few years now. Moved to Plymouth.

All in on PSU. Shows other P5 schools they can add D1 hockey and get good quickly.

3 F-M kids on NTDP, we hopefully can land two of them.
More of the MN/ND kids played AAA rather than high school. Is that a growing trend? Paging resident MN youth hockey expert @scpa0305
