CHN is finally updating the probability matrix. Doesn't look like the numbers are truly ironed out, but it gives us a range of 3 and 10 for final pairwise spot.

Driscoll has responded to losing the net better than any goalie I can remember. Put on a clinic tonight and is feeding crow to anyone who doubted him.

If you look up Joi Labadie's twitter account, there are more details on this under the Tweets & Replies header.
Yikes. We will probably hear more about the previous incident.

Let’s not hold his brother responsible for his actions. Don’t know that it is something to tease someone about, especially if he turned out to be innocent. Would guess there is some information that would lead the coaches and University to suspend him though. Hate to see hockey tarnished with these type of crimes. Would guess that Mitchell Miller would have been a bigger distraction because of his past. You hope to recruit character guys, but you never truly know what type of individual you have, and to think he was their captain.
I mean some light penalty box harassment, nothing beyond a few words or a sign. Although the latter would need to be in good taste.

If his brother Timmy ends up taking a penalty, the student section should be ready for him.

Do we have room for any grad transfers next year? Some potential pick ups:
Taylor Ward
AJ Vanderbeck
Owen Sillinger
Brian Halonen
Trenton Bliss
Not going to say who, but wouldn't be surprised to see a current player or two cut loose.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Frisch is an undrafted free agent and will have several if not a majority of NHL teams trying to sign him this off season.
He is still young, just turned 21 a few months ago. That'd be a serious blow if he leaves this off-season.

Despite being 8th in the pairwise, Duluth not making the tournament due to sub-.500 record is definitely a possibility. Grinding out these two wins could very well spoil their post season.

I think that was the plan but now Lindenwood seems to be planning to move the entire athletic department up to D1, as an invite to the OVC seems to be imminent. I think they have an announcment this week. If that is the case, ya gotta think hockey moves to the back burner?
Makes sense, hopefully the Blues keep rent cheap for them.

Frisch will hopefully be a two year C. We'd be fools to not encourage him to play a 5th year with us.
-
Isn't Lindenwood supposed to field a team in the fall? Seems like they fell off the radar.
-
Is there a reason (weather, Covid protocol, etc.) why attendance is so piss poor? They really need to paint their seats a different color.

What happened to Gaber last night? At least Senden is back.

Reading Brad's article then reading Wellens' makes me appreciate Brad that much more.

I disagree if you are including Duluth. Duluth is a dirty, depressing city with even worse weather than Grand Forks. Minneapolis aka Gotham City used to be nice before it turned into the crime capital of the Midwest, but hockey is also not the top sport. Ann Arbor is nice, but hockey is way down on the list behind football, basketball and probably other sports. I get Denver and ASU, but not the other ones. On the other hand, we do out recruit Duluth and St. Cloud most years.
I'll give you Duluth, I like it for the outdoor recreation but if you're playing a D1 sport you don't have much spare time, and probably didn't grow up biking/skiing/etc.
Is Dinkytown dealing with a crime influx? My understanding is most of the issues are far away on the other side of the river.

We're not recruiting players to live in town fifty years. They're here for school (and vocational training).
No, but kids grow up under the impression college is the best however many years of your life.

Then explain Duluth and Denver. They don't seem to have problems recruiting top talent. Nor St. Cloud State for that matter. And nobody can beat REA for facilities. Enough excuses.
Duluth, St Cloud and Mankato all seem to get more from their players than anyone else in college hockey. Denver is a blue blood like us. ASU will hopefully steal some of the CA recruits they've been hoarding.

Is this where you tell me how tropical St. Cloud, Denver, Ann Arbor, Duluth and Minneapolis are compared to Grand Forks? That argument doesn't wash with MBB and it doesn't wash here.
All of those places (other than St. Cloud) are more desirable places to live than Grand Forks. Real estate prices and population growth over the past 20 years reflect that.

We've had some recent commits from upper class suburbs that never made it to campus (Rowe, Morrow). Not a big deal that we didn't get Anderson.

Leaves a lengthy comment and follows it up with this. Hahahaha

With 30 seconds left in the game. Let's see how Big Ten handles it. No call when it happened, OSU used their challenge. It overturned a goal that had made it 6-1.
EDIT: OSU's player is from Norway. Not surprised he's a Euro.

Wisconsin has 3 goals on 5 shots. By the grace of Allah, please hold on and knock ND down in the pairwise.
