  1. Moore's hit was not deserving of another night if Savoie's wasn't earlier this season. Frustrating to say the least. Savoie's was at the end of a game with malicious intent, Moore's was in the first period and not even a penalty until reviewed. Do better, NCHC.

  2. Tonight is our only PW killer (opponent below .5xxx) left in the regular season. UMass, Tech and Notre Dame all have a few. Win tonight and take it one day at a time.

Playing Duluth on CBS next Friday is a bad omen, but they haven't been playing well lately.

Mismash recently.  Guess I like a lot of the UND guys like Kawaguchi and Weatherby and how they were able to destroy the elite Minnesota talent in their own building.  Also love that UND sees the value of guys like Senden, whose uncle played for the gophers.  I consider those guys as misses for Minnesota.  Ditto for guys in the past like Connor Gaarder, Matt Henderson and Peter Armbrust, among many others.

    Good call on Mismash.

I'm a huge fan of next years class and really UND's pipeline in general. The Berry vs Minnesota (since Motzko) has been the one aspect that has bothered me the last few years. This does need a little further explanation, because yes, I am ignoring Perron for example (or Strathmann). One can assume that Minnesota most likely wanted them, but we really don't know that for sure. The same could be said for UND and Moore. I'm talking about guys where there have been articles about the other teams involved (ex: Knies / Broz) or Chesley where before he committed to UofM, it was quoted as saying he was down to UND / UofM. There was a dman recently that plays in Sioux Falls and UND was in his Top 3 (with Minnesota), you can guess where he picked. I'm not saying that Minnesota was never interested in any of UND's recruits, but I never remember seeing (outside of Kleven) an article recently that lists UofM as one of the other top candidates of a UND recruit.

Can't think of any more recent than Boeser, and before that Gersich (neither Berry). But what that really requires is us poaching a top kid from the cities. Not easy, despite what anyone on here says to the contrary.

On the plus side, when was the last time they had a stud from Manitoba, which borders their state?

What is the likelihood that we see a couple of Michigan "Blue Chippa's" turn pro after the Olympics based on this story?

Report: Michigan Hockey Program Being Investigated For Various Allegations : College Hockey News

This should be the end of Mel Pearson in college hockey.  Unfortunate, since I thought well of him at Tech.  Must have let the Michigan blinders think nothing could touch him there.  See how the corrupt NCAA handles this situation.

Felt the same way about Pearson up until the cancelation against Western. Quite the fall from grace over the past month. Can't imagine anyone in college hockey sticking up for him now.

I've been lurking on these boards for a long long time. I'm old enough to remember when you could almost follow a game by the updates posted here. An exciting game had dozens of pages of comments. Now you can guess the result of the game by looking at the page count of the game thread. The higher the count, the worse the team performed.

What a fucking clown show most of you are. Bitch, bitch, and more bitch. Fire Hack, Fire Berry, Fire Bubba, Fire his assistants, Now we are out to Fire The BB Coach. With a few exceptions, all of you are so fucking entitled, it's disgusting. You believe that because you decide to cheer for a team, they. owe. you. everything. Win every single day. If they don't, it's because the team doesn't care as much as you do!

News flash; You are a fucking loser.

Look at this thread. We win 7-1. What happens here? People bitch about Jake Brandt.

During the game people started laying into Klevin for beating a guy to the puck. There was NOTHING wrong with that play, but some of you jumped in here to bitch about Klevin when the refs went in to review. Why was that any kind of penalty, much less review for five? No, here in the UND "fan" forum we immediately start bitching about Klevin and his stupid penalties.

In closing, I would like to point out how stunning it is to me how many people on these boards think would of/could of/should of is proper english. It is would have/could have/should have. When you are talking, you say "would've", not "would of". That is a contraction of "would have". Jeez. It's so common on this site... I had to get it off my chest.

While I don't think what you said applies to me (and definitely not on the grammar), the team scored only 2 goals total over the prior 3 games, blew a good lead in the 3rd the previous game, and got shut out at home by high schoolers. It's been a rough stretch.

With how poorly UND's special teams has been lately...and how prone they are to taking stupid penalties, this could end up being a disaster.

    This is interesting:

A friend who went to St Cloud said Doyle had a huge year as a freshman and got consistently worse every year.

  8. Watched up until our power play in the 3rd. Was puzzled to see notifications of two power play goals by Western. Up until that point I was mostly happy with the game we played. Western is as good as we've ever seen them. Game had a good pace, and their goalie/our lack of finishing was the difference.

Hell no! I have NO WAY of getting a CBS feed without buying a cable package.

Usually ss forum readers are usually blessed with a link. A chromecast or apple equivalent is all you need to put it on the big screen. The normal WMU broadcast camera work is in the bottom half of the league. We're a bit spoiled for the college game.
