  1. Here's a guide to our rooting priorities, please correct me if wrong.

Priority 1 is wins by NCHC teams we play 4 times, then NCHC teams we play twice

2 is non-con opponents winning; Quinny has more to lose than HC has to gain, so QU>HC

3 is teams ranked 10-20 losing

4 Atlantic/CCHA don't have teams ranked ahead of us, so their conferences over the others. Hockey East losing is most important

5 is teams that have NCHC non-con games winning

6 if nothing else, lower ranked teams winning

Although UND did drop one spot to #22 in the Pairwise, their RPI is now at .5286 which is up from .5242 (following the Western series weekend). The GLI went exactly how we wanted it to go with Western not only winning it, but Michigan State losing both games (although one was in OT). UMass losing also would fall into the category of what we want to see.

These next two weekend are so important. The NCHC needs to outperform what they've done in non-conference up to this point. It would also help for HE / the BIG to take a few hits.

Today, hoping for LSSU over UMASS (15). Clarkson over Wisconsin (30). AIC over Cornell (18). Long Island over UConn (10).

And a fight between a gopher commit on the ntdp and some of their freshmen for good measure.

Michigan State and UMass could both potentially have the Wisconsin rule keep them out of the tournament, especially Sparty. Looking at their schedule, Wisconsin and Notre Dame are the only series' against teams that aren't top ten in PW.

Even if we were firing on all cylinders that would be a tall task to only lose 1 of 8. Don’t forget Miami just beat SCSU 5-0, none of those nchc games are easy this year

That's what it's going to take to climb the pairwise at this point. Only Western wouldn't be pairwise poison.

  4. If we can get out of January with fewer than 10 regulation losses we have a chance at an at large bid. No easy feat, especially with Western wanting revenge and Duluth needing to salvage their season as well. Luckily the only road series is Miami.

I don't have "the Twitter" so maybe I just don't get it, but I can't believe that he has over 236k posts in 13 years.  That's like 50 posts a day for 13 years straight.
A - Who has time to post 50x every day?
B - Who the heck would want to read that many posts from someone else?

    :whistling:

A lot of them are likely in-game updates. But it's clear he's an addict sharing every mundane thought that pops in his head.

Ciskie is a gem for doing things like that.  I’m shocked he hasn’t picked up one of my sarcastic posts and blacked out my name while sharing them on Twitter.

Bruce, If you’re reading this - and we all know you’ve been scouring our board since about 10 pm last night - feel free to post some of my comedy gold on Twitter too.

Considering his pinned tweet is a lengthy note about an illness/ailment of sorts (too long winded for me to read it) he should show a little humility and not poke the bear. Whatever he needs to take solace in the fact that it's a down year for them as well, I guess.

  7. Hard to believe we were up 2-1 and later were on the power play with it tied at 2.

4 (!) different rivals of varying degrees beat us to Cruikshank. Really wish we landed him at one of the chances.

Last season we got destroyed in game 1 at the concrete palace and then grinded out a win in game 2 with a very similar roster. Pretty much the last chance to salvage this season tonight.

  8. If anything it's for the best they had someone on the inside with the trademark rather than a troll who sits on patents, trademarks, domains, etc. A family member got a good pay day lately after a small investment in weed-related web domains in the early 2000's.

    Curious why you say this?

He is good at what he does and this could sully the relationships with the staff, players, etc. Then we get stuck with a writer the caliber of Wellens <shudder>.  I'll accept his flaws/ blind spots given the market and salary he makes.

Port kinda maybe inferred this.. purposely vague btw.

Anyone with half a brain can figure it out

Rink Live reporter just made it clear.

Ports article loses everything if he actually told the whole truth....

but then he wouldn't get the chance try and throw college athletics in the mud

Glad it wasn't Schloss, he doesn't need to get involved.
