  1. Apparently Morrow didn't like his billet situation in Fargo and that's why he went back to Shattucks. Not sure if he's a diva or if he had a basement room at Buffalo Bill's place, but it'd be interesting to know more about what happened from the Force's perspective.

How is it Starman comes through so sincere and knowledgeable and Buccigross just sounds like a putz?  I’ll hang up and listen.

Starman is a coach and a scout, for one. Bucci slobbers over blue chips and blue bloods. They are both exceedingly positive, but one is a student of the game and the other is a hype man.

Presentation style, Starman's voice and pace are more consistent. Bucci gets excited and has vocal inflections like he's going through puberty every time a shot on net takes place (especially when it's a...... wait for it...... WRIST shot!).

Bucci brings a lot of eyes to the game of college hockey, but he belongs in the studio, not the booth.

That guy in Missoula is a big POS, he closed down two of his Fuel Finesses claiming they managers were cooking the books. Somehow, the two managers were in charge of the finances for all of the Fuel Finess. they talked !@#$ about how terrible Helena and Butte are.

Hahaha wow. Didn't know about all that, but it doesn't surprise me. Burks is a Californian who expects everyone to grovel in front of him because he's (relatively) wealthy. Everyone who does business with him or works for him leaves with a bad taste in their mouth.

Reading that letter he wrote there are some flat out lies about the Missoula rink situation. He was told the youth tournaments can't be scheduled the same weekends as football games because the tournaments need the hotel space, and that is what set him off. I've got plenty more stories about him but let's just say hockey in Montana is better with him not involved.

TIL Bozeman had a legit D1 level rink not that long ago.. Montana State D1 hockey would have been really cool had they started a program in the 90's.  Wonder if they woulda been stranded with the Alaska schools right now or if the conference landscape would have been completely different right now.

I attended the last game there, spring of 2006. The Bozeman Icedogs beat the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to win a championship, and then it became a warehouse for a liquor distributor during the offseason. It was really nice, but was hemorrhaging money according to a friend who worked there. Last I heard Peter Budaj coaches their club team at the nice new rink in town.

Missoula has a cool rink for their club team too. A few years ago the junior team's owner got mad that the rink kept giving him the same weekends as the football team for home games so he dissolved the team and threw a tantrum publicly. He took back the stands and sound system out of spite. A bond to upgrade the rink just failed, but it suffices for what it's used for.

Anaheim PR spinning it overload style... which means it's exactly as bad as they ate trying to hide, or worse.

I've never heard a good word about the guy off the ice.. or on. He's a POS.

Anaheim saying it wasn't about his dad but it was inappropriate just results in more questions. It's best to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but it's not easy to imagine what else he could have said (matching the repeated upward pointing) to evoke such a response.

Yep, sold it so well he didn’t play the rest of the game.

The way he went and stayed down he is required to enter concussion protocol. If word comes out that he had one, I'll look foolish, but until then I stand by my observation.

The CC/DU game was entertaining. It was clear that Denver was the deeper, more talented team but CC battled hard and didn’t look scared or intimidated. They had a great start, it didn’t feel that the arena, the big crowd, or the opponent was too big for CC. Mbereko faced 41 shots and several of them were of the grade A type. He stopped 39 of 41 good for a .951 save percentage. Like coach Mayotte said in his post game interview, the fact Mbereko wasn’t named one of the three stars is laughable.

    How was attendance?

Starman is right. Kleven is playing with NHL level intensity. Go pro, man.

I'll never forget when Corban Knight went pro the NHL coach sent him down to the A and said "he needs to remember this isn't college hockey anymore" or something to that effect
