Seeing Rico get UST to a top 20 team so quickly after leaving Miami in a dumpster makes me wonder what happened there. UST has some institutional advantages in terms of location and all, but they were playing off campus at a community rink until now. Bergeron had success at BGSU and couldn't get anything going in Oxford. The last decade really made the "Is Miami a dynasty?" article that much more hilarious.

Surprised he didn't mention the former teammates angle for WHL kids. Manitoba's goalie was teammates with Reschny and Verhoeff in Victoria, and Dawson Pastrnak played with them in Victoria as well as with Zakreski in Portland. And this is just from names I recognized. P.S. Johnny Hooker sounds like a name from a mobster video game. Props to him for using Johnny.
