Your pool of legacies has survivorship bias. Belfour, Howard and Eades come to mind as legacies whose kids we didn't recruit and then didn't pan out. Watch Howard have a breakout year at Augustana after he reads this! Ward committed really early and stuck to it after more success and development. Can't speak to many others.
