I think we are talking about the same thing. Wasn't it 2009 USF beat UND? That's the game I was talking about. I think it's apples to apples as UND has not seemed to get any better unfortunately and the beginning of the end of UNDs proud football history...and of the Mussman experiment.

I agree. I think a parking ramp should be built. There's a perfect spot for it in the gravel by the wellness center. The REA could build a bar at the top and only be open on hockey games. Be a great way to enhance the Gameday experiece and the Ralph's bottom line. But they seem pretty cash strapped too as they can't even afford video boards for the Betty! Haha

Will UND be stuck in FCS while our peers move to FBS because of the Alerus? It really has to be only a matter of time before Montana moves up, followed by Montana state, then maybe NDSU. How many teams have moved to FBS or announced they were moving since UND announced they were moving to FCS? The Alerus attendance capacity is probably the most detrimental thing to UND athletics going forward.

I've been to plenty of hockey games. Never used the shuttle once. Always seemed pointless to me. As 82 pointed out, So many better options for parking!
-
So this argument really comes down to people complaining about a walking distance (in north dakota winter)? As has been pointed out there are still plenty of options. It's not like they tore down a ramp. Why would you even want to ride the shuttle when you can park closer and walk at the albatross for the same price and not have to deal with the hassle of using a shuttle bus?
-
This is pretty funny. I walked the same distance every day in elementary school here in Grand Forks to Lewis and Clark....and I know it was a hike as I lived on the boarder (18th ave south) between the two schools (Viking and Lewis and Clark). I musta started walking the distance in first or second grade...don't remember the exact grade.

That same conference mate came into the Alerus and dominated UND not that long ago! Speaking of Sioux Falls....would they win again this season in the Alerus?
-
He won two NATIONAL championships at Duluth. Doesn't matter how "watered down" a conference is.
-
Watered down nsic or not? He won championships. GVSU still plays d2 ball

Shows your lack of understanding of UMD. UMD was far from a "weak program" when bubba arrived. Define bare cupboard, as Duluths two seasons before Bubba took over the teams were 11-1 and 8-3. The same guy that led Duluth to those records was the same guy that hired bubba. That same guy also took them back to dominance after Bubba left winning 2 championships in a short period of time before moving on. One could argue bubba regressed that program as head coach.
-
Now I will reverse the question. Out of all the coaches in the country that might consider UND, why do you think Bubba would be a great/good head coach at UND? (One of your top two choices) PS. Mussman was a good Coordinator at UND also.
-
Shoulda. Coulda. Woulda. None can predict the future. But you would guess in his four years as head coach there he would have been better than .500 if somehow hed suddently started winning championships....being a good recruiter and being a good head coach are different. The next coach did and it took less time than bubba was there. The new guy "did it with bubbas recruits" but he also did it in less time than bubba. I'm not doubting bubbas recruiting skills. Bit how do we know he'd make a great head coach at UND either? We don't....but we have his track record of a regional school when he was head coach. And we will never know if Neilson would have won with his own recruites as he got "promoted" to western Illinois to help build that program. Dale Lennon won a championship at UND in his first three years at UND. Bubba's third and fourth years he was a combined 10-10.
-
How bubbas recruits did with a different head coach?! Aren't you proving my point?! Haha The new coach won two out of the next three championships. He could get the recruits but come game time coached them to a .500 winning percent. Sorta like around here we hear how awesome our recruits are but come game time we aren't able to put together a team effort and win many games.
-
You would rather have bubba who went 22-21 as head coach of Minnesota Duluth.
-
He's not exactly the head coach either. Didn't they just beat UNI? One thing for sure about him is we know he is a better coach than Mussman.
-
How do you not go with Kalen DeBoer? He is a proven winner at head coaching, beat Mussman with less "resources", and appears to be in the hunt to move up the coaching ranks.
-
I always thought the qb should be a crucial part of the play calling too. They have more perspective than anyone what's going on every play. He's the one that actually feels the pressure so he would be a good one to ask how to avoid it.

Freeman can't pass the salt either.

$800 for the buses without gas....the same buses UND uses for students. Does the DOT charge UND $800 for the uses of those buses during the week or do they get a cheaper rate? And that's $800 for just a few hours at night...how much do does UND pay to use those shuttles during the day for longer periods $1600 a day? I know why tuition is so high now.
-
UND could make money running the shuttle if it wasn't paying $1600 a weekend to rent the bus from the NDDOT.

What made UND great and will make UND great again

Finally got to watch the documentary on espnu about the Alabama and auburn rivalry. Lots of the same theories apply. Those programs seem to push each other. Funny enough those two teams quit playing for a period of time....40 years if I recall correctly...and there even showed the talk of their legislature pushing for the teams to play....auburn and Alabaman both have championships within the last ten years.....and Auburn despite being the underdog just beat Johnny football on Saturday. -
Well there ya go. Why is the university paying to lease a bus from the state? Let alone paying $800 a night to use it? One state government program paying another state government program. Odd. Simple math shows the buses made a profit minus the $1600 for a weekend of use to pay the state of North Dakota.

Me and my buddies couldn't do any worse....I'm officially applying. Geaux_Sioux you can be a coordinator along with und-fb-fan and sicatoka.
