(and five of the other nine teams UND has been playing in one sport or another for years) This could be a good way to help grow basketball in Grand Forks and could become the "WCHA Final Five" of UND college basketball that so many of the hockey fans enjoyed. The Summit Championship is on ESPN2 vs the Big Sky on ESPNU. I believe this league could someday rival the Missouri Valley.

Don't remember the exact wording but when Idaho joined the Big Sky they put it in the contract that if North Dakota or Montana (and or MSU) left the conference so could Idaho without penalty. (Which means they saw UND as one of the most valuable assets to the conference.)
