  1. Good point about them playing two FBS teams.
  2. Yes a 5-5 vs "D1 Competition" won't make the playoffs. If Indiana State wins they certainly have a case for the playoffs...same with WIU if they win.
  3. Of course we're assuming these hypothetical playoff teams keep winning.
  4. That's not a thing. Edit: To clarify you need 6 wins vs D1 at the end of the season, otherwise that teams selection may be in "jeopardy"....Which is sort of obvious because otherwise said teams would be 5-5 in d1 competition.
  5. Wouldn't be the first time a team with 6 D1 wins gets in, especially if they beat Weber on Saturday.
  6. Montana Montana State Idaho State North Dakota All currently sit at 6-4. Only one will get in...
  7. Just like Dom Izzo who was trying to say if UND won the Big Sky Championship outright in 2016 they still weren't good enough to get a bye. It's almost like a game in the (social) media to see who can try and control and influence the narrative (voting members) the most.
  8. Leaps and Bounds.
  9. "It'll come down to"...will the committee realize how much stronger the Big Sky is vs the MVFC this year.
  10. This. It likely will come down to these two games (if UND wins): If Montana St wins they are 7-4 and likely beat out UND for a playoff spot. Montana wins they are 7-4 and loses the "unofficial tie breaker" to UND. Idaho State* beats Weber State and they finish at 7-4 and also have the "unofficial tie breaker" over UND. (*The win vs Weber would probably trump playing a d2 team for Idaho State...or they'll use that excuse to selection another MVFC team).
  11. Last year: EWU 7-4 UNI 7-4 The latest polls of the season, before the smoke filled room playoff teams were picked, both had EWU ranked above UNI. UNI was awarded a home playoff game while EWU's season was over. (Three 7-4 Big Sky teams sat home last year.)
  12. Just finally saw it too.
  13. Not a written rule. In 2016, Illinois State got in at 6-5. Selection committee uses a "Simple Rating System" as one of the tools for evaluating teams. Which one component is margin of victory.
  14. Perfect time for a "what if" calculator right about now...
  15. It all comes down to will these 5-5 MVFC teams be ranked above UND this week? And MVFC team, Indiana State, who is 6-4 with a d2 win on its schedule.
  16. Dom is trolling for clicks. I trust him about as much as gfhockey.
  17. Defense has, what, forced five turnovers the last two games.
  18. I mean. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. Average at best can pretty much sums up most people on the entire football team. There really isn't any studs or go to players. NFL receivers like Golladay don't come around very often unfortunately.
  19. The starters were pulling down everything there for awhile. Them and RBs have been some of the bright spots.
  20. Next week's game isn't just for a "shot at the playoffs" but will also help next year's preseason polls. The bottom teams in the polls are all so comparable it'd be nice not to always have to climb from the bottom. Luckily the win vs Sam Houston this year vaulted UND upwards pretty quick from the 3-8 finish last year.
  21. That's the old one (week prior) before the loss to Idaho.
  22. UND was bout 38th in the latest Stats poll. That's a lot of places to jump to make the playoffs.
  23. 10 points UND offense 7 points UND defense. Not good when your offensive only scores 3 more points than your defense.
  24. Without the pick 6, we'd be headed to OT right now.
  25. At least they finally had a time consuming drive...and scored!
