President Kennedy Candidate for UCF President's Job
Cratter replied to fightingsioux4life's topic in Community
Another med school in North Dakota would be one of those programs that "sells out instantly" as their are more students trying to get into Medical School around the country than there are open spots. If NDSU pushed hard enough, I wouldn't be totally surprised if in 15-20 years they got one. It would compliment their School of Nursing nicely. NDSU: "Sanford gave us a very large donation to help us get this project up and running, with our massive population grow, growing need for medical care, and the lack of available slots at UND, now is the perfect time for a NDSU medical school...all we need now is a "little" money from the state."- 485 replies

Well for one thing, gfhockey's uber rides to his favorite type of "clubs" just got more expensive.

I was hoping they would only sell lower bowl (and later club seats if needed) tickets at one "medium" price (between $40-$50 after fees). People would then have a little more incentive to buy tickets early. This is there "Make one heck of a first impression atmosphere at the X" chance. (which helps drive future tickets sales). One idea could have been to offer "cheaper than normal" tickets this year (and next?) in hopes of building up that fan base and adjusting the prices in later years once they had a better idea of the market.
-
I understand the NCHC trying to make money with their tiered lower bowl pricing structure, but five different tiers is a little ridiculous. Pretty much all the cheap seats on the ends are sold out (no two seats together remain)...lots of $72 plus fees seats in the middle left for Friday. Only a few left in the $47 plus fees seats remain for Friday either. and everything is lining up perfectly: St.Patty on Saturday and three out of the four teams are within relatively easy driving to St. Paul. If there was more $30 plus fees seats available would more people go?

https://undhockey.areavoices.com/?p=99140 Sounds like what happens ten/hundreds of times around the country a year at Universities.

So now a university has to be prepared to go to court anytime they want to fire the coach? I read the Herald article. Doesn't really address what the lawsuit was about? What does "sex discrimination and retaliation" mean?

You can go watch the former Vice President of the United States of America give a speech at the Alerus Center this Saturday.

If you include just full time students, NDSU: 11,768 UND: 10,275 with part timers added in UND has about 50 more than NDSU. NDSU had nearly 700 more beginning full time freshman than UND this year. I think UND use to be the larger school by 1,500- 2,000 or so students "back in the day"?- 485 replies

Someone posted a website that has a free trial for a week that also has CBS Sports. But I don't remember what it was. Along with Youtube TV. edit: FUBOTV.

You can watch UND practice at the Xcel tomorrow at 10am.

"Keenum helped the Vikings reach the NFC title game a hell of a lot more than Bradford." Is also a fact. Two things can be true at once.
-
"Keenum & Bradford took the Vikings to the NFC title game last year..." is a statement of fact.
-
Minneapolis is closer to Grand Forks, than Grand Forks is to Sioux Falls. And people are still complaining about UND having a de facto home game.
-
Bingo.
-
-
No, I gave both credit.
-
AZ just spent $15 million to make him their starter next year.
-
You don't think UND at 14th in the PWR deserves to play in Sioux Falls then. But PSU at 12th PWR playing only two hours away in their home state, No problem!
-
Penn State will have a pretty good home advantage. If UND gets a de facto home game, so does Penn State. No doubt about it. He claims UND doesn't deserve it. Penn State then also doesn't deserve it. The article wasn't about yeah North Dakota will have a bigger home advantage than Penn State. That wouldn't have made much interest. It was about: St. Cloud traveling to the East was the "problem" for him.
-
Wonder why he didn't write: "All of this is well and good, except that when Penn State is a lower seed, it gets a de facto home game when it doesn't deserve it." Same rules apply.
-
That is sour grapes on his part. Regardless of his "spin" on it.
-
Is Chaves gonna get on the hockey committee to help UND to keep getting those "home" playoff bids secured? Like Faison did?
