As you go down the list of "less popular sports" among NCAA schools (below Football and Mens basketball) it becomes easier to win by the "smaller schools." It's why Duluth can win a D1 title in hockey. It's why Coastal Carolina can win a championship in baseball, Akron can win a championship in Soccer, and University of Portland in Women's Soccer.

One could argue, by them wanting to move to D1, they are like-minded.

I dont mind Auggie as a basketball focused private school that is located close by. The Summit league is going to be a very strong up and coming league with a heck of a basketball atmosphere tournament in Sioux Falls.

If you have to use the phrase "hangout spot during the day," you probably should save the money for something more useful. Normally there's a need for something and then you build it to accommodate those needs. In Grand Forks build (or rent) it and they'll (the need) come.
