  1. You got all that from a blog's comment section? Who's to say the job isn't Walski's to lose? Have you seen the off-season workouts? Have you seen the on-ice practices? How has Walski looked? Is Eidsness even in GF yet? Have you compared them side by side? How many games have you witnessed either goalie play? And what about Harrington? You state: "will no doubt get very little (if any) game experience" How do you know this? I have no idea who the goalie will be this year for the Sioux. That is why coaches coach; players play; and fans get to watch, whine, bitch, and cheer. Did Hakstol tell you about there being a goalie rotation this year? I bet he doesn't even know if there will be one; and the chances of him asking for approval from the fans is pretty much nil.
  2. The Herald actually printed this.
  3. "One of the Marvins had passed away" John Marvin.
  4. Here's a better video. BTW, it has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. I just thought it was as funny as hell.
  5. They also shouldn't be counting on Kenley Wahlin for a whole lot, according to this.
  6. More information available here
  7. Winning a title in a conference with the same name, albeit some different opponents were involved at the time, was worth enough to NDSU to get someone to spring for championship rings for the football team. It was worth enough to get those same players into the "Champions Room" or whatever it is called at NDSU. UND, I'm sure, appreciates your concern for how this all works out for UND.
  8. Didn't NDSU football award rings for winning a conference championship in a "so called conference"? Thought I heard that the players on that team even are allowed into the "Champions" room at the BSA. For winning a "so called conference" championship?
  9. Didn't see this posted yet. Not the greatest of timing on this one. Johnson hired by USF. GF Herald story.
  10. Back when I played baseball, I used Shoe Goo on the toe of my cleats instead of a pitcher's toe. It worked great for that. Should work on skates as well. I remember seeing it on a few pairs at Play It Again every fall.
  11. Warren Zevon. Lawyers, Guns, & Money Air Supply. One of the sappiest prom songs ever.
  12. ahhh, I just looked back and found that, too, dagies. I've been looking for classic rock stuff only. And you are right from an earlier post, finding other than the "popular" classic songs is difficult. It would figure that someone from Devils Lake would bring disco into the mix...
  13. How does a band with a flute in it win any "classic hard rock" awards? So are we on S? Or T? Or U? Oh, and while I'm at it, are we supposed to be posting 70's classic rock bands/groups? Or just 70's music? No one has broken out the disco yet, but I've seen two Jackson 5 references.
  14. Here's a fitting song in the wake of what could be a nasty weather day today in the Red River Valley by REO Speedwagon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEz4aPtZ8A8

    Overtime

J [something] B's (or maybe it was BJB's), as in (Big???) John Borman, the owner of Players, Village Inn's, Toppers. He still might be involved in the Village Inn out by Holiday Inn Express on 32nd.
  16. A timeless classic from... ZZ Top
  17. I'll keep looking for another "Y" band, but have another "Yes" song of note. This one is dedicated to all Sioux Fans: Yes Ok, here's a good one from Neil Young. This was also re-done as a Kurt Cobain tribute by NY.
  18. Trooper -- Raise a Little Hell
  19. If so, why did he not sign the contract? Under the terms of the CBA, no other team can offer as much as Phoenix. Looks like Blake (and/or his agent) tried to play hardball and was given a lesson in humility.
  20. ELO Turn to Stone
  21. Frank Zappa click here
  22. I was thinking the same thing earlier today. We must be related or something.
  23. My guess is that it is injury related. Precautionary, still rehabbing, etc...
  24. All I could come up with was this, and I don't know if that officially would qualify, either. XDreamysts More Xdreamysts
  25. Call me an interloper if you wish, but I could only think of one band that starts with 'U'. ***edit*** Well, there's also U2, but I refuse to acknowledge them as "classic rock".
