  1. And I say "disasterous" is a mischaracterization of "post-Penrose". We had a team slump at the worst time + goalie illness + a Pyke injury. Disaster? No. Misfortunate? Quite. I've defined what I'd call disasterous: A disasterous March would've been losing to WMU (1, 2) then UNO (8, 9), then swept by Miami (15, 16), thus missing the Frozen Faceoff and likely falling out of the NCAAs.
  2. You're definition of "disaster" is interesting. A disasterous March would've been losing to WMU (1, 2) then UNO (8, 9), then swept by Miami (15, 16), thus missing the Frozen Faceoff and likely falling out of the NCAAs.
  3. Well heck, tomorrow's winning PowerBall numbers too please.
  4. < we go live to Wilbur's man-cave >
  5. "The 1883 Collective is a third-party college athletics collective tailored for UND athletes, aiming to provide name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities and foster community service initiatives. Although it supports UND student athletes, it maintains no direct affiliation with the University of North Dakota." https://1883collective.com/faq/
  6. That's all he has left for eligibility.
  7. True. Heil played on a US team with KG as an assistant last summer and we landed Heil shortly after. Same thing only different. The key: Our coaches need to be out there on those select staffs. But we only have one American coach (KG) and Canadian teams tend to not pick US collegiate coaches (even Canadian ones).
  8. It's two "sessions" not three "games" so more like 23,000.
  9. You just named 1-2-3 in 2023. Different needs in 2024 for them.
  10. If you can backpedal like that you should call Bubba and play DB for him.
  11. If he's mine he's a red-headed step-child.
  12. Who coached that team ...
  13. I could see Zmolek and Livanavage as summer 2025 risks. And maybe another (demographic: low minutes soph D, say Komzak).
  14. It may be a net good thing. That's gone. What's next.
  15. But weren't they CAR's not long ago?
  16. No more Charlotte? When'd that happen? No A or ECHL affiliate ... 'frugal' ...
  17. The word you're looking for is: leverage. He should tell CAR "rookie max, everything" or nothing. CAR going $916k per for Morrow and SJS giving Graf $950k per tells me CAR's reputation as "frugal" (the nice word) may be accurate.
  18. Collin Graf (Q, now SJS) got a bigger ELC than Scott Morrow (UMass, now CAR). Does CAR try to low-ball and Morrow bit? Very interesting ... https://www.capfriendly.com/players/collin-graf https://www.capfriendly.com/players/scott-morrow
  19. So you see a "Peter Armbrust" role in his future.
  20. Perron will progress. Schmaltz can't have back-to-back stinker years, can he? Boisvert and Swanson are ready to step in. And Bubs pulled a couple rabbits out of his hat last year about this time.
  21. If Blake is gone, keep scrubbing the portal as there's an unexpected hole in the roster.
  22. The only way it makes sense to me is if CAR threw a rookie-max ELC at him and started his professional clock (one day closer to NHL free agency). If he stayed he could sign anywhere summer of 2025 (as he'd be four years after draft year, one USHL, three UND). CAR would not be happy losing that draft pick that way. Nothing here so far: https://www.capfriendly.com/
