Nope. Per the settlement UND must retain the rights to the old nickname and logos. To do that they must use them from time to time. Making, wearing, and selling legacy jerseys meets that criteria. Nothing to see here other than meeting contractual obligations and keeping NCAA lawyers at bay.

The problem with solar and wind is they may not be producing when the demand for energy is there. Better battery storage technology, to store the energy produced at peak production times for later use during peak demand, would be a massive leap forward.

As a bonus, Leigh Jeanotte and his crew's soap box was removed. I may not find the new nickname or logo as inspiring as they could be, but I still smile a smile when I see it thinking about how it's better than all the NCAA/schedule/political/bad PR problems of the past.

I'd rather talk about Measure 1. It's a fine idea (ethics in government, more donation reporting) but one section of it is unethical. I say that because Measure 1 includes a supremacy clause which means it would override every other law in the state including our North Dakota State Constitution. Nope. No thanks. Take out the supremacy clause and we'll talk. But with a supremacy clause in there Measure 1 is a flat "NO" for me.
