If your sump pump hammers away at 20% duty cycle the constantly flowing water doesn't freeze.

The first time I met the man he was introduced to me as " ... the mayor of Mayville." I found out the rest after that.

Not sure for those, but I believe it's Nov 12 for the Moorhead Spuds. -
An Ihry from Hope. Whodathunkit?

This found on Mafia's iPod. This happens in the Meadowlands. Coincidence? I think not. Fear The Mafia.

I suspect metal detectors showing up at large venues in ND recently has less to do with the venue management and more to do with their insurance carriers.

Electrolux is leaving, that sucks.

I see your 100 and raise you to 500.

Tickets go in the ticket forum.

So Wisconsin and Penn State are playing a weekend series: - Thursday (Halloween) at 7 Eastern - Friday at 6 Eastern Sorry, but that's not good for either of them or college hockey in general.

Add it to the list of pre-game restaurants I'd go to that have closed: Shangri-La Grizzley's New Chinese joint on Columbia that opened after Shangri-La Now Wild Hog #KissOfDeath

Employers look for workforce. Workforce needs affordable housing. I'm no fan of the standard, stale, three-story apartment building, but that's home for manufacturing workers and entry level professionals. Companies looking to place a facility look for things like workers and workers look for affordable housing (and initially that's apartments). If I were starting a company I'd look for a city with workforce. If I were looking at a job in a city the first thing I'd look for is where to live. It's all tied together. You have to think like a systems engineer: how do all the moving pieces mesh together.

You'd probably have a better shot with Midco Sports Net.

Sleeping on this notion ... Would that be all bad? The Canadian junior/major junior system works. Minor league baseball works. The NFL and NBA get free minor league systems, and much of it publicly subsidized. Make educational institutions focused first on educating.

Engineers, bay-bee!

I'm torn. Clearly the student-athlete's image has value or else why would it be used in advertising for sporting events? But this screams to me, as some speculate, as a way to get additional (under the table, but now above the table) dollars to athletes directly from boosters. Put another way: How many Alabama FB starters will be hocking cars in car ads on Tuscaloosa TV in coming days?

That’s what I said: If UST tried this and the Summit had stayed mute UST had no chance. With the Summit behind UST it’s better than coin-flip. I say that and not more because the NCAA has history of arbitrary and capricious decisions.
-
If the Summit stayed mute: 0.0%. With the Summit's statement, better than coin-flip.

Name sadly not on the list? This one.

That's too big of a change. It'd change their whole target audience and recruiting footprint. I suspect the Arizonas want something from the PAC12 and this is their way of getting some attention.
