Those who take the time to read the details of things like Dr. Kupchella's Strategic Plan for UND have known this is coming (see priority/action area G). Tim O'Keefe was asked about it on KNOX Radio one day over the summer. It was mentioned by Kupchella at the Fargo Showcase. And now this morning on KFGO Radio news you hear the man again talking about it. UND is planning to launch the campaign to establish a $500 million endowment for the University some time between now and 2008.

Then blame yourself. The president of NDSU agreed to it when it was created.

... in accordance with NCAA's legislative process. And they didn't do that. Oops. Did someone miss that key detail? (Now read the Kupchella quote in my signature.)

Gee, I know I've seen that plan, and it being implemented, somewhere already.

I rolled this out to PCM (and he scoffed for reasons only known to he and I): - UND uses a green very close to British racing green - a particular manufacturer uses a green hue even more similar to UND's Pantone 347 - the NCAA has Pontiac (don't go there for now) as a prime sponsor Why not: - cut an endorsement deal with that manufacturer (we use their name and logo on jerseys) - use the color of the manufacturer (which is so close to UND already) - one (way) up the NCAA And become .... (this is really up-ing the NCAA) Yes, Jaguar racing green. What a way to tell Myles to, "Get your silly-a.. Pontiac otta here."
