Why ruin the convention center aspect just for hoop. The Al holds 9000 in BB config already. (So many folks forget that about half of the west grandstand is mobile.)

Speaking as one of the hockey gods, you finally got one correct. The Ralph isn't great for hoop but having seen games in each it's better than Fargodome in hoops setup. Now, just for the pleasure and enjoyment of "aff" : After the on-campus football stadium (heck, let's go retractable roof while we're at it ) as a make-up to the city and Alerus Center UND will move basketball over there. How's that.

Ya'know, aff is right. I'd like the world's best hockey rink, a practice rink, and a 3500 seat basketball/volleyball training facility. It means each person here has to give $35,456. I guess it's not going to happen.

The other stuff, the wish list, I don't know. But go back and look at Kupchella's strategic plans. He's consistently executed what he's said he would. Now note Priority G, Goal 1. I believe Dr. Kupchella will hit this one also. (You'll also love A-5.)

I would become a Boston College fan before I would choose to watch that show.

The only direction I could imagine would be adding on a south end section. But even that would pose some "interesting" design and engineering challenges to get the number of seats to make the cost worth the effort. North is out of the question (Canad); east would mean rebuilding the main lobby and concourse to Canad (cost); west might be possible but there really isn't a lot of space when you start to consider I-29 being there.

(You just make it so darn easy ...) That is 5000 more than have ever seen an NDSU football playoff game in their dome .....

No way. No lake. The best part of Hatton will always be the super-short right field porch: A breaking pitch away, swing inside-out, and she's slicing, slicing, gone. Then again, standing on the wrong side of the dish later in the game and gettin' 'round on a fastball and tuggin' it out was fun too.

I saw Ryan play for the Demons a couple times. He's not the biggest or strongest or fastest guy, he just knows how to play, was my impression. I thought he ended up out west (UMary or Dickinson State). I'm glad to see he's at UND.
