All of you are speaking but all I hear is "Blah, blah blah ... " so I'll reply: Mongol General (aka The Sicatoka): Wrong! Conan! What is best in life? Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women. That is and always will be the expectation. We must return to executing upon it.

Allow me to provide the epic and legendary quote from the great and wise sage ... "Anybody can say anything." -- PCM Maybe that should be updated to "Anybody can tweet anything."

Could it be that recruits found this forum and somehow determined that the Mussman regime was on the hot seat? Could it be that the 60 or so you reference are letting the dust settle before making a decision? I know it's crazy, but folks do like some level of certainty when making big decisions. If they'd all have committed elsewhere already, then I'd be concerned.

What they do with livestock in Greeley is illegal everywhere.

The more I think about it, I think I'd like to see someone who is without UND/Grand Forks ties*. No strings to pull on; No buddy-buddy circles to deal with; Just Football. Now if he hates Grizzlies, Bobcats, Eagles, and Lumberjacks, all the better. *See: Brian Jones, Brian Idalski, Ashley Hardee.

DITKA! And everyone in Alerus Center is upgraded to Grill Class!

Per Mr. Faison, the position has to be posted under University System policies and rules. Anyone know how long the application has to be open for and such?
-
When you say "tracking tail numbers" you have to say "Brett Favre"!!!

Strength Coach Guy Nate is out there running football for UND, ... by him-lonesome-self, ... no help, ... no one else at UND has any experience recruiting or knows anything about football, or is in a position to say good things about UND Football, ... if only there were someone on campus to help Nate in the interim ... <cough> ... Faison himself ... <cough> ... Mannausau ... <cough> ... UND FB SID ... <cough-cough> ... but Nate's alone on an island ... </cynicism>

Let's see ... I run Company X and I just fired my Sales staff, but I'm going to send them out to try to close that last big sale. Uh-huh ... ri-i-i-ight. <facepalm> If there are recruits in the pipeline I'd expect an executive officer like Mr. Faison will be (or have someone) contacting them to update them, within NCAA rules and regulations obviously.

Pro or DI could just as easily be Tibesar or Kleinsasser.

After being relieved the smart move is to always take the high road.

Dear Mister or Miss "Really?" dagies is a moderator. I am a moderator. You first few posts are, shall we politely say, inauspicious. You are welcome here, but please conduct yourself in a polite manner in accordance with the site rules. Thank you for your attention, Signed, The Management

Nelson tweeted that the Faison/Mussman meeting was "very emotional". Is that the nice way of saying Chris cried?
-
Seeing how weak our line play looked at times, should Nate be polishing up the ol' resume?
-
I think you kinda-sorta-maybe need a position posted on the UND employment opportunities site first to get that list. The good news is that the position is open is on the national news wires. Candidates will know to start looking for the posting.

"Playoffs? PLAY-offs?"

Uh, he's a Wisconsin alumnus. You may be overstating his UND affiliation and allegiance.
-
No. Mussman accomplished the goal.

It'd have been a good plan ... if Lane Kiffin could (ever) mature.
-
My guess is one, but he'd have to take a demotion.
-
I say we name CAS as the next UND FB HC. Why? - He hates to lose. - He doesn't like UND FB winning. It'd be like matter and anti-matter ... == POOF! == ... CAS vaporizes.
-
I was thinking more along the lines of when Lane Kiffin was a HC with Monte Kiffin as one of his coordinators. (We know who the real mind in that set-up was.) Lane was the face of the organization and was supposed to be maturing into a real HC (epic fail).
-
When I say "power game" in my mind that infers strong defense and a downhill run game with enough offensive capability to recover from two scores down. But I think we just said the same thing.
-
Or flip that: BB as head coach with an Associate HC (in a coordinator role)* who is mentoring him. *That'd be a guy who wants to keep coaching but doesn't want all the extra stuff (boosters, media, face-time, blah-blah) that comes with being HC.
