I am not a huge fan of how this poll turned out but then again it is only preseason and Phil had NDSU ranked number 20 last year so who knows. Also, I feel that we should be somewhere in the 30 - 40 range, but at this point I think I am liking the underdog type status; should motivate the guys a bit.

Cal Poly seems to be getting overlooked by pretty much everyone...................

while i would probably have UND in the mid thirties or so, I can see them being unranked so i'm not really bothered by it.  Cal Poly i think is a pretty poor exclusion, consdering I think they have an outside shot at winning the bigsky and pulling out a seed.

certainly someone else from the big sky is a top 40 team.  I think the league is a little top-heavy, but not that bad.  Also, if he is as wide off on NDSU this year as last year, I think they might be pretty good.

Portland St. should be on that list in my opinion.

I agree.  Portland State and Cal-Poly should be on that list.  Somewhere in the top 30 range.

Guess UND needs to go out and earn it.  I'm fine with that.

Yes boys, it should piss you off.  Use it.

We also need the season to get here so we can start getting poll votes from the people who confuse ndsu and UND with each other.

Then we will for sure be in the top 25 every week.

Let's be honest whoever did this poll is on crack. It deserves no respect. He throws names in a hat. Holy Cross doesn't even give scholarships and was one game above .500 playing in the non schooly patriot league.

Where's Northern Colorado?

*patriot league voted to start giving scholarships this year.

I hear Northern Arizona I think of what they did to UND in 1985
3-8.

9/7 at Northern Arizona 0 41

9/14 East Stroudsburg 38 7

9/21 South Dakota* 3 45

9/28 at South Dakota State* 23 29

10/5 at MSU Mankato* 6 28

10/12 Augustana*# 41 18

10/19 at Morningside* 7 48

10/26 St. Cloud State* 30 3

11/2 at Northern Colorado* 27 28

11/9 Nebraska-Omaha* 7 19

11/16 at North Dakota State* 0 49

On a personal note the E. Stroudsburg game was my first UND football game my dad took me to...of course UND won. :)
