I voted for Nodaks but actually like the fighting hawks. Unfortunately, because someone came up with a cool logo for the fighting hawk it is inevitable UND wouldn't use it, so I was afraid we would end up with a chicken hawk logo, so I went with Nodaks.

The team needs to win some games. Would be great to get a couple wins early so people will show up at the games and give some support. Otherwise it will be a tough year.

Even with our strong D, I'm thinking this turns into a horse race. I'm concerned Cam gets lit so we have to pinch and press. I'm going with a 5-4 battle with UND on top, but hoping I'm wrong.

Hammer's use of "The General" drives me crazy. Yes Dan, we know the general is Pattyn. And, by the way, it's not Pat...Ten. It's Pattyn.

Although the Goofers are due, I'm actually feeling pretty good about today's game. The Sioux should be loose and really playing with nothing to lose. If they have fun and stick to our game I think they could surprise many fans today. Win or lose, what an awesome year to be a Sioux fan.

No doubt the Sioux has the heart to win. Just not sure we have the guns to continue this grueling pace. If we get by WMU, and that's a big if, we are in for an epic battle with whom ever we play. Should it be the Gophers, I have a heard time believing they lay an egg two weekends in a row.

Tonight's a season changer for UND. No more mediocre Saturday nights. We're going to get some of the junk to go, out shoot them by 15, and win 4 - 2. We'll rocket up the charts and be #3 by the Christmas break. Then it's a race to the frozen 4. Go Sioux!

UNO looks good and is feeling better. From what I've heard from my boys in Omaha, the fans and the team are all surprised by their start. They are a fast team which doesn't scrum too often. If our D can keep them in check we should be able to wear them down and put up a few goals. I'm calling a Sioux sweep. UNO will think they can play with us and will keep it close in game 1, until we wear them down in the end. Sioux get a hard fought 4-2 win Friday and an easier 5-2 win on Saturday. I'll be getting my sweep after the games at the Upstream in downtown OMA. Nothing better than a win and a good micro-brew.
