SiouxBetcha Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 This is going to be really cool. Would love to see UND have an outdoor game. I'm thinking Memorial Stadium could be transformed for this purpose? Have a great day. Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 This is a really cool thing the NHL is doing. They have the Penguins playing in it, which if you're looking to attract fans, that's definitely one of the teams you want. In fact, the only way I think the NHL did do something wrong with this game, is by choosing the DAY to air it nationally. New Years Day??? New Years Day sports have always been college football. Why try to compete with that? People have parties to watch the various games. Yes, I'll watch this game, but I'll still be switching back and forth to check on the football games. Should still be fun to watch. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Snow flying like crazy in Buffalo!!! This is going to be like the pond days I had when I was a kid. The difference...I don't see the players taking a break to get out shovels to clear the ice! Quote

CDog Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Look at that snow! Wonder if Stafford and Crosby will grab a shovel during the intermissions? Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Sounds like they will be able to get it in though. I've played in worse than that! Colby Armstrong just mentioned the shovels! Every kid who's every played outdoors has had a shovel at some point in their hands! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Announcers said Buffalo fans snowballed the Penguins bus upon arrival. Reminds me of the good old Gopher days at the old Ralph! This game looks great. Players skating into the snow aren't going to be able to see anything! Quote
terbele Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 What channel is that game on, I cant seem to find it, have Directtv Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Players looking up for the scoreboard. Probably wondering, how long until the end of the 1st!? Quote
terbele Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Of course here in Indianapolis, i have Montel Williams on NBC. Anyone need advice on how to lose weight and increase your libido? I can pass along hints, thx to Montel. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Crosby with beautiful stickwork to get the puck into the zone. Then Miller dives out of the way of the puck, something you don't see much from goalies, to keep the puck from banking in off of him. Quote
Siouxmama Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 1/2 way thru the 1st, the zambonis come out. I thought I heard there was about 1/2" of snow out there on the ice. Quote

This game looks great. ! I thought those were beer bottles. Speaking of Gophers, Jeff "After the Whistle"Taffe is playing for the Pens, who I might add are wearing some ugly uniforms. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 I don't remember any ice crews coming out at Strauss Park in EGF after I tripped on a patch of cement! This game could take a while if they have to stop continually for the elements. Quote
