Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Sioux appear to be somewhat lost now, since allowing that goal.
Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Sioux need to start moving their feet more!
Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 9:58 left in the first. Not too many shots again, tonight by the Sioux, and we seem to be out of sync again since the Gopher's goal.
Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Frattin's speed creates a scoring opportunity.
wsdSIOUXfalls Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 3 quick consecutive saves by Lammy. We need to play more on the other end of the rink!!!
Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Jean-Phillipe gave up a few big rebounds there, but the Sioux are able to recover.
AussieSiouxFan Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 OOOOOOOOOOOshie we are all tied up lets go sioux keep it up O no wait goal under review he didnt kick at it just redirected it GOAL
Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Goal shouldn't count as Oshie directed it in off skate. EDIT: What is the rule? Does it have to be kicking motion?
wsdSIOUXfalls Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 3 quick consecutive saves by Lammy. We need to play more on the other end of the rink!!! WAY TO LISTEN, GUYS!!! Off Oshies' skate into the net! They're reviewing it. Last yr was anything other than a soccer style kick counted as a goal - this year they were going to tighten that up a bit. Oshie definitely did not "kick" at the puck. IT'S A GOAL!!!!
Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Refs expressions look to be inconclusive, which would mean the goal would count. Goal counts.
passit_offthegoalie Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 oshie can even shelf it with his foot
Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 That's a tough call for the refs. I know I'd be mad if it happened to us. The problem with that goal is that Oshie's body was turning on that, so his skate did look to be doing somewhat of a kicking motion. I'll take the goal, but I understand the Gopher fans being mad about it.
Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Phil better watch out or he'll negate the penalty again.
passit_offthegoalie Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 when they say a kicking motion, they're talking about a pendulum motion with your foot. so I think the call was right. you could tell that the refs were explaining something to the protesting gopher captain.
Siouxdonyms Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Woog and Mazacco discussing Phil's kick, and saying that the rule book says it's a 5 minute penalty. Woog say a kick and punch are the worst things you can do. Well, punches only count if the gloves are off, at least for 5 minutes, so Phil would have to take off his pads and skate, right? They're reeling for anything for their Gophers.
UMDDogz Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Bulldogs lead 1-0 late in the first over UAA. Land Cows 1-0 over the BADgers in the first.
