Siouxdonyms
Hak pre-game comments: A lot of good players out here tonight on the ice. A lot of good players on both benches. Bottom line, it comes down to two teams, and both teams will be real competitive. There obviously doing things offensively very well. I didn't watch any of their non-conference games, but what I saw them doing last week is getting pucks to the net, and keeping things simple. They played hard, especially Saturday night. I hope the one thing we can do is show them a level of speed, and maybe another notch of tenacity that they haven't seen. Not saying we'll push them back on their heals right away, but hopefully over 60 minutes, we can take it to them. We have to make some plays, and stick with speed. We finalized lines last night. We should be in good shape. I think mentally, everyone should be ready to go. Some guys are knocked up, but they're in, so I expect them to play solid hockey. They're either in and going 100% or not in, so we expect 100% from them. I thought that Jake and Derrick did very well last week. Are there going to be mistakes? Absolutely. We have good confidence in them, or else we wouldn't have them in there as a pair. Stats are what they are, but all you can control is the game going on tonight. Good to get him back in early. Hopefully it's not premature. The trainer had to give him the go though, so he should be okay physically.
