I could very well be wrong, but my guess based on above is if 1-way: He makes great NHL money for what's left of this year (on a pro rata basis) even though he may not touch the ice (NHL or AHL).....or 2-way: he could make virtually no money this year, since he can't play AHL.......Am I even close on this? (I am ignoring bonus compensation) Quote

(I am ignoring bonus compensation) My guess is that he will be making NHL $$$ for the balance of this season.....all 11 games or so. He will be practicing with the big club for the balance of the year. I would think, though, that his deal is 2 way for next season when he is eligible to play in the AHL. I know, this is the wierdest thing I've ever heard, but this new CBA ....not sure if even the GMs understand it. Quote

Driveforshow Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Alot of people are still going to look at Ryan as a gopher and thats fine. I am going to look at Ryan as a local Grand Forks Kid and only wish him the best. We should have had Ryan and Grant at UND but a few people thought Grant didn't have the skills to play at UND and we all know what kind of years he had at minny. You all wanna talk about Gopher fans arrogance and I say the Sioux are playing great and I get immature responses like this? I like how you left out the 6-1 win the Gophers posted the same weekend. And that the win the Sioux had they got an empty net. What's that all worth? Nothing, all I said was the Gophers will be the most talented team in the nation next year with all their guys returning. I don't see how that can be argued with the group of guys they have. If you want to look at stats of teams one team beat and the other team lost to just look at the regular season records, but where does that get us? Nowhere. Feel better now? Quote
