Parking at the Ralph

Does anybody know if the REA is going to open up the parking lots for the west regional, or is it still reserved for Sioux Club etc.

I heard something about $5 parking but not sure where that is at which would really help out the parking situation.

From the letter we received with our tickets:

The Kelly parking lots will be reserved and protected for Emerald and Diamond Club Parking Pass holders only...all other parking sports at REA will be treated as general parking lots and will be open to the public on a paid parking basis at a rate of $5.00 per day/per vehicle on a first come, first served basis. Seems the other spots are for NCAA officials, media personnel and event participants that are playing in the Grand AM Basketball Tournament in the Betty. (really dumb having this planned the same weekend... )

Easier to park in the residential neighborhood on the other side of Columbia Road anyway. It's a faster out after the games.

The parking lot opens at 3:30 but the doors to the building do not open until 4:30. The Kelly lot is the only one reserved for parking passes. For the rest of the arena you pay the $5 each time you come into the lot and it is on a first come, first serve basis. Also you can not leave the building and come back in during or between the games tonight. These are all NCAA rules, not Engelstad.

Be sure your ticket is scanned before you go out, otherwise, no you won't get back in.

I was told that they are not allowing the scanner to unsan tickets and reenter. If it is like it was in Madison years ago, they didn't allow us to leave to smoke.

Will they be running buses all night during the games from the Memorial parking lot? I ain't gonna make it up there until about half way through the Holy Cross-Minnesota game. I'm guessing street parking to the south will be full by then, and I don't want to hoof it all the way from the football stadium.
