  1. I am in SHOCK....over the news that the Fighting Sioux has been retired. I will ALWAYS BE A FIGHTING SIOUX FAN, I will ALWAYS WEAR MY FIGHTING SIOUX APPAREL, I have two SIOUX tattoos forever on my leg. THEY will not take any of that away from me. The whole thing is ridiculous....A VERY SAD TIME IN SIOUXLAND. It is what happens when the President AND the AD have no heart or love for the school, students, or alumni. They have NO vested interest in the state and of tradition and history. Thomas Clifford would be very sad.
  2. We live in Fargo and didn't know Dagwood's or Overtime was closed. Sorry about Boston's changing to Space Aliens too....One more week for hockey!
  3. I'd also suggest...Dagwood's or Italian Moon. St. Cloud fans tend to be mean and rude.
  4. Just picked up a Ride the Stasch to Denver....at Italian Moon for $15. They said they had them at Barnes and Noble in Grand Forks also. The front of the one I bought has the logo and North Dakota Sioux(no Fighting)....wearing to Denver. Go Sioux!
  5. My husband and I are on Al's bus also. We didn't find out that tickets weren't included until this afternoon when a coworker of my husband's called him. When would we have found out? We are also desperately trying to find tickets...Can we trust Ebay? Any hints for us? We would like them in hand also before we go to Denver and don't get in. This is our first Frozen Four...We aren't too happy with what's taken place. Guess charter airline people have been in the same boat. Not enough tickets that they needed. Where do they sell tickets at Frozen Fours? In front of the arena? When? Thanks for any help the readers can give. Go Sioux!
  6. Any one gathering together to cheer on the Fighting Sioux in Fargo tonight vs. Badgers? The bigger the crowd the louder we are! Prefer smoke free place with food! People have called me to ask....Buffalo Wild Wings on 42nd are having the game on....Spit Fire(?) Alumni owned...Hooligan's....
  7. It's about the only time I've agreed with McFeely. It made me laugh too! Living in Fargo and being a Sioux fan, we've dealt with this for 14 years. I get sick of the Bison everything! The Forum owns the Herald too so it should be even turf. Whoever made that call....should see the number of cars headed north on a night of Sioux hockey!
  8. Thank you so much for filling me in. Our sympathy to the Hennessy family also. Tim is a humble guy. A few years back I had him sign my jersey at a fan night at the arena. He seemed embarrassed by the request but I told him he's been a part of the team for years....so he did sign it.
  9. After each WIN we listen to Tim Hennessy on the way back to Fargo. Tonight they mentioned he was gone because of a family 'situation'. It sounded like a death in the family. Does anyone know what happened? They mentioned the day after Christmas and I looked online at the Grand Forks Herald and didn't see anything. Also was that Scott Hennen announcing tonight since Looker was on the radio? The PA system was awful....very echoy! Go Sioux for a sweep!
  10. This whole incident has disappointed me. Yes, it's still illegal to drink under the age of 21 no matter who you are! Drinking and driving...even better...It's always someone else's fault....Suck it up and take the punishment. These players need to remember that people(but mostly kids)look up to them. It's a wonderful example....let's make the kids think it's alright... After a long week of prayers and sleepless nights following a family friend's daughter(16 yr old) who got into a car with someone(19 years old) that was enebriated at 7:00 am last Saturday...saying he was taking her for breakfast. After hitting a tree...the driver died at the scene and the girl was in critical condition. None of this is funny or acceptable.
  11. From the letter we received with our tickets: The Kelly parking lots will be reserved and protected for Emerald and Diamond Club Parking Pass holders only...all other parking sports at REA will be treated as general parking lots and will be open to the public on a paid parking basis at a rate of $5.00 per day/per vehicle on a first come, first served basis. Seems the other spots are for NCAA officials, media personnel and event participants that are playing in the Grand AM Basketball Tournament in the Betty. (really dumb having this planned the same weekend... ) Go Sioux!
  12. Other letter we received: Dear Valued Consumer: Thank you for taking the time to contact us about the misprinted posters that were distributed during the Red Baron WCHA Final Five tournament on Saturday, March 18th at the consolation game between the University of Wisconsin and the University of Minnesota. The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) and the University of North Dakota are rectifying this unfortunate mistake and they will be redistributing the free posters during the NCAA West Regional Tournament the weekend of March 24 at Ralph Engelstad Arena, in Grand Forks, ND. As a title sponsor of the Red Baron WCHA Final tournament, we too were disappointed in the mistake. The posters were produced and distributed by an alternate party and the tournament logo appeared on the poster without our knowledge as a result of the sponsorship. We are sorry if the misprinted poster has upset you in any way, and hope that when you make your next purchase of frozen pizza you choose Red Baron
  13. Yes, this is for real. My husband and I received this letter along with a seperate apology from Red Baron claiming NO responsibility for the mistake. And begging us to continue buying their pizzas. I am a graphic designer....I work at a printing company...our work is checked and double checked. How does this happen? Also when we attended the Paul McCartney concert in October at the Excel Energy Center...the T-shirts all read Minneapolis NOT St. Paul...someone's screwing up somewhere!
