Fedorov Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Wow, what a different style of play with Mercyhurst and BC. There is a lot of open space as the players don't tie each other up. Most penalties are boarding or a stick infraction. There was a horrible pick (interference) that allowed BC to score. I don't know if they play like this because of the officiating in their league, or if they just suck. Quote
HockeyMom Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Time out Mercyhurst to warm up the back up goalie. Quote
7>4 Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 CC on the powerplay. With two shorties already, Colgate looking to tie it up. CC will go on a 5-3. Sterling scores. 5-3 tigers. Still 5-4 PP. Quote
HockeyMom Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Schneider thought that one went in. Stuck in his pads. Quote
7>4 Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Colgate takes a 10 minute misconduct on player that has two of their goals. Looks like CC will survive. Quote
HockeyMom Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 I'd rather the refs call it tight then let it get out of hand. As long as it's even. Quote
7>4 Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 10th penalty on BC. BC has 57 shots on goal. It would be so sweet if MH could find a way to tie this thing up. Quote
NorthDakotaHockey Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 That injured Lakers goalie had 49 saves with six minutes to go when he left. Here that sound from the East? That's the sound of 12,000 BC sphincters slamming shut right about now. Listen for it around The John about 3 pm CST tomorrow. And for it in Worster around 9 pm tonight. Quote

HockeyMom Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Mercyhurst pulls their goalie. 38 seconds. Quote
7>4 Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Colgate scores to pull to 5-4. Some great hockey. Quote
HockeyMom Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 That's the game. Valliant effort by the tiny school in their first meeting with Boston College. Quote
Fedorov Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 BC definitely got away with some holding at the end. They must have a Denver badge. Quote
keikla Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Unfortunately, I think the close game with Mercyhurst has forced BC players to get their mind back in the game and realize that they can't just walk all over every team. I'm guessing they'll be much more prepared tomorrow night. Hoping that the Sioux beat BU to get to that game of course. Quote
Fedorov Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Am I the only one that thought the BC boarding could have been a major? He lined the guy up for a few strides and the Mercyhurst player had his back to him the whole time. Quote
7>4 Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Colgate scores to make it 5-5. Come on CC. EDIT: Goal under review. Goal stands. 5-5. Under 5 to go. Quote
#1siouxfan22 Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 That game was fun to watch all the way through. There is no way you couldnt root for a team like Mercyhurst. They almost pulled through at the end to tie it. Now Sioux better go out and win tonite so we can give BC a season ending loss. Quote
