Sioux_Hab-it
However, at the end of the day such a move will have little impact on the hockey world in North America as there are a now a total of 56 Major Junior teams in Canada with an expansion coming up next season. Therefore, the league will still absorb at least 60 of the best US Junior players as well as 60 of the best European players. Furthermore, the quality of the US Junior Hockey League keeps getting better and it will just be a matter of time before players are jumping straight from US Junior hockey to the Pros on a regular basis. So if anything the move may help maintain the quality of NCAA hockey and help ensure that the very best local players stay at home to play either junior or college hockey. jloos
It's too bad Norway didn't make it this year, they probably would have sold more tickets. Yes I'm serious, I'd bet there are several Norweigans around here that would have paid $ to chear on Norway. The US will have a tough time next year. Finland had a ton of young players and should be good next year. The Swiss team was surprisingly pretty good also. 2006 IIHF World U20 Championship Tentative Preliminary Round Groups Vancouver, Kelowna & Kamloops 26 Dec 2005 - 5 Jan 2006. Group A 1. Canada 2. star2city
Crosby devastated over lost jersey The case of the missing jersey was a hot topic in Canadian hockey as Crosby, his parents, Troy and Trina, and his agent, Pat Brisson, dealt with Hockey Canada officials who, in turn, dealt with representatives from Air Canada along with police in Grand Forks, N.D., and RCMP in Winnipeg and Montreal. The 2005 world junior championship was held in Grand Forks and Thief River Falls, Minn. It's possible Crosby's jersey could have been taken out of his bag before it was loaded onto a truck and driven to Winnipeg. It's also possible that it may have been removed when the bag was transferred during Crosby's flights from Winnipeg to Montreal to Mont-Joli, Que.
