Thoughts:

Story of the game was the play of the bench.  All 5 players off of the bench had their moments but the the 3 that stood out: Nero, Levias, and Danielson.  Nero had his best game of the year.  First half it was distributing and then the second half was scoring (and getting to the free throw line). Danielson did his part to be in the right place and the right time.  Something that isn't being talked about was the improvment Danielson has made from the free throw line.  Levias brought great energy and was great distributing the basketball in the first half.  He has earned more time in this squad.

-While not as impactful as the other 3: Eaglestaff and Mathews had their moments.  Eaglestaff splashed in two big 3s when the team needed it.  Mathews did the best job in handing their big man but that isn't the biggest story from him:  He is moving a lot better.  This is important, if he can keep improving as the season goes along, UND will have a legit big to come off of the bench to help, especially when the Summit League starts to come around.

-Held Tech to 35% shooting and 29% in the 2nd half. If you take out their 7-10 start to the game, they shot around 27% for the rest of the game.  Give credit to the defense.  When it wasn't in transition, the defense was solid.

-UND shot 50% from the field and 14-15 from the free throw line.  That will work!

-19 turnovers and only shooting 5-16 from 3, can't have that.

-Outside of Omot... we need more from the starting lineup.

-Omot had another good game from the field, but... needs to add that pull up jumper to prevent teams from cheating and wanting to take charges.  Other than that, continues to be the best player on the floor and continues to improve.

-They did a great job in closing out the game and handled the adversity in the 2nd half.

-Took a step foward today and hopefully will take another with CS Fullerton on Sunday. There has been some good growth since the Pacific game last Tuesday, need to keep it going.  Get Brooks back soon and reintergrae him back into the fold.

-Matched their non-conference win total from last year already, with several more winnable games on the docket.

Completely agree with everything said here! Nice writeup! Omot needs to add that short pull-up right before the defense steps in for the charge. He has that in his bag, just needs to see that that is open on the film. Love watching him play and continually stepping up when needed. Looking forward to Sunday as that will be a tough game!
