SFSIOUX#1 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Been to busy watching the Twins but sounds like the Sioux are playing well. Sounds like Spirko is starting off his UND career on a great note. How has Zajac been this weekend? Quote
OETKB Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 5 X 5, UND has dominated this game. Not even close. Most of Maine's scoring chances have been on special teams. Quote
siouxbear1 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Tim Skarperud who is serving as a volunteer assistant coach this year. Quote
sprig Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Sioux did eliminate the stick checks (hooking) that period. Maine took holdings when the Sioux sustained the cycle. THought the boys had learned after last night but they needed another first period lesson tonight. Quote
sprig Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Tim Skarperud who is serving as a volunteer assistant coach this year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> TH said last night Hak, Berry, and Skarperud were the on the bench coaches. Where is EAdes? Quote
SiouxTupa Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Fylling SCORES!!!! 3-1 Sioux!! Goal at 3:48, Spirko on the assist. 3rd assist of night! Apparently bad angle goal. Quote
tp033 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Spirko's cycling sets up another goal: this time by quinn Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 For those of you who didn't hear, they said a bit ago that Maine hasn't been swept at home by a non-conference opponent in 19 years. In 1985, by Denver, was the last one. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted October 10, 2004 Author Posted October 10, 2004 spirkos looking good...........#11........may have some good luck left in it!!! Quote
DamStrait Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Sioux carrying Black Bears all over the ice, yet no whistles. Quote
tp033 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Sioux have two more great chances with rebounds; Howard looks shakey. Quote
dagies Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Spirko feeds Fylling who pots it from a bad angle. Sioux 3-1! My guess is unless Eades is on the bench tonite he's out recruiting. Quote
schmidtdoggydog Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Where is EAdes? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would guess he is out recruiting. Edit: Dagies beat me to the punch. Quote
OETKB Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Sioux moving the puck deep behind the net extremely well tonight. Maine does not seem to have an answer for the gritty corner work of UND. Quote
tp033 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 I am impressed with Spirko so far. I don't think he has the offensive ability (at least not yet) of the former 11 but he certainly keeps his legs moving along the boards and creates some space for himself and the offense. Quote
DamStrait Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Idiot Maine fans, calling for a penalty when one of their players skates in on Brandt covering the puck then trips on Brandt who does nothing but gather in the puck. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted October 10, 2004 Author Posted October 10, 2004 goofs 2 denver 0 2nd period.............. Quote
SFSIOUX#1 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 I believe Fuhrer may be one of the most underated players in the country but that is just me after many beers and one who favors GF players. Quote
SiouxTupa Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Penalty called on Maine at 7:17 a 10 min game misconduct... No powerplay. 5x5 Quote
SFSIOUX#1 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Where is Basil when I need a little humor.....? Quote
sprig Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Is it hanson?, seems to have swallowed the whistle as Maine holding is going on in this period with no calls. This is starting to look normal, team trailing can take liberties while the team leading has to play clean or sit. Sioux have kept it clean. Quote

SiouxTupa Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 I adjust one of my comments Spirko with 1G 2A today. Not 3A. Quote
