NoiseInsideMyHead Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Popular Contributors? I don't know if it is who posts the most or who gets the love or hate ?If you're the head of the class. If you're a quarterback. If your mom says you're a catch. If you're never last picked. If you've got a cheerleader chick. If you're the party star.If you've got your own car.If you'll never get caught. If you make football bets.If you're a teacher's pet. You're popular. If you'll just listen to my plan: the SiouxSports guide to popularity! jimdahl Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Who has the most net positive votes on their posts over the period (default is one week). So, each time someone clicks the green up arrow on your post you get +1, but each time someone clicks the red down arrow you lose 1. 1 Quote
jimdahl Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Why???Most message boards have some sort of user reputation feature. We've toyed with it for many years, having allowed the +1's for at least 5 years now.On this board, we've seen problems with people abusing the -1's when we publicize all users' reputations, but just showing who had the most upvoted posts each week has seemed pretty harmless so far. If it proves problematic, we'll adjust again. Quote
bigskyvikes Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 When there are 150 new posts and I like 11 of them, why can I only up vote 10?I'm not sure, but you don't get anything for being up voted do you? So it doesnt make sense to control them, you know like buddies just up voting buddies? Maybe I don't understand, but it is frustrating. I seem to always run out of up votes and I'm not trying to up vote one person. Quote

We put the limit in place back when the system put more of an emphasis on user reputation instead of post reputation. I'll bump it up. 1 Quote
