CMSioux Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Answers to # 1 and #2 - not yet but we are moving in the right direction #3 - Just like last year there will be some pleasant surprises.
fightingsioux4life Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 This is a marathon, not a sprint. Bubba wants to build this thing the right way, with high school graduates that become five year players in the program and who pass the torch to the next generation once they have finished their careers. I predict the JC and FBS transfers will slowly disappear as Bubba gets his guys into the program. A winning record this year would be another important step forward.
CMSioux Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Actually I don't think they will disappear - many of the top level programs sprinkle in a few transfers most years - depending on need. The right transfers can bring a lot to a team - problem is there are reasons why players transfer and that can mean attitude issues and baggage.

It certainly can, but fortunately we have had a few good ones recently - Tillman, Hijnosa, B hanson
Fetch Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 How often do exceptional players happen - just because they got a chance ? Or they were to big or small for positions & got overlooked ? I love it when these kind of players bust loose (Like the Polish guy the Vikes picked up)
