7>4 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Zaba appears to be real solid. I agree. From what I have seen of him this year, he tends to get stronger as well. We need a little of that third period magic. My bold prediction. Next team to score wins. SOMEBODY FRICKEN WAKE THESE GUYS UP. Quote
mksioux Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Sioux getting thoroughly outplayed this period. It will be real tough to come back from 3-1 if Zaba keeps playing the way he has been. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 **** ***** **** *****.... jordan parise needs to be pulled. Play Ziggy if you need to. Quote
GBpakrzz Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Absolutely pathetic display of hockey in the 2nd period. The Sioux just took another penalty too. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 UND is imploding. J parise gives up two goals he should have had and CC is going back on the power play. CC 4 UND 1 Quote
mksioux Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 This could be a new low for the team this year. They're getting destroyed this period. Let the sackings begin... Quote
U2Bad1 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 This game is very reminiscent of the second wisco series last week. Poor goaltending, badly outshoot the other team and still get your *ss handed to you . Quote
farce poobah Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Time to split up Zach, Brady and Bucks. Quote
leosity Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 What the heck is going on?!!!??!?!? It was 1-0 Sioux, I went to take care of some business upstairs with the kids, finally get back downstairs and hear that the Sioux are down 4-1!! This is NOT the time of year to start falling apart... <GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR> Quote
sprig Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Zaba has been really good. CC really turned things around after the Sioux PP's, and caught them napping. 4 goals on 8 CC shots that period, but all goals on bigtime breakdowns. Bochenski has never had that many great chances without scoring. I have never seen a CC team that plays this cheap, either. Got to make them pay when they sit in the box. Quote

mksioux Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 CC desperately needed a win tonight to stay in the playoff hunt...and played like it. UND desperately needed a win in the hunt for the McNaughton and (more importantly) to get on a roll after last weekend...and laid an egg. Instead of answering questions this weekend, this team just created more questions. CC is a good, young team...and losing a close game to them wouldn't be the end of the world. But losing like this is really bad. Hopefully UND can close the gap and make this game respectable and go into next weekend with some momentum. UND has had some chances but (per usual) can't find a way to score against a good goalie. Zabba seems unbeatable, but I take no solace in the "hot goalie" excuses anymore. Find a way to score or lose. It's that simple. This CC team reminds me of the Sioux in '01-'02, except much better. They're going to be downright scary in a couple years. Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 Sioux lead in SOG 22-13 after 2; at one point CC had scored 4 goals on 10 shots. Quote
7>4 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 The way the Sioux respond this period, win or lose, will go a long way in telling us how far they will go. I got the rally cap on. Come on, who's with me!!!!!! Quote
If only we had Belfour Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Duluth just scored, 3-1 dogs Quote
U2Bad1 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Typical of how this game is going. UND has a prime chance on 2-1 and doesnt get a shot on net and CC draws a penalty coming down the ice. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 *** **** ****** ****** UND hasnt really had a good scoring chance this period with the period almost half over. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 No sour grapes or anythign.. but my high school band played better than this band. Quote
mksioux Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 This isn't your father's CC team. Tough, gritty, defensive, opportunistic...it seems like they have 7 guys on the ice at all times. I don't care what the shots say, they handed it to the Sioux tonight. Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 Dogs sweep Gophers 4-1. Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 Sioux pull goalie with 4:41 left. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Why in the world was parise back out there? I missed that. Quote
upurrsiouxfan Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 We need some atmosphere, they should all be on their feet and yelling their heads off, it can really make a difference, WI proved that last weekend. Quote
7>4 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Lackluster effort. I would have had more fun watching the WE channel. Quote
upurrsiouxfan Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Loved Zach's comments on atmoshpere and admin. taking the students out of the game. Something has to be done. The flyers handed out last night were awful and took the crowd right out of the game. Quote
