PHE Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 Coach Blais mentioned in last night's coach's show about the "fifth" line guys getting a chance to show their stuff over the next two weeks due to the WJC. I'm hoping that Tyler Palmiscno has some success during that time so that he can get more ice time during the second half of the season. I don't know Tyler personally but I do admire guys (seniors in particular) who stick it out despite lack of playing time. He played 30 games as a freshman but his games played have gone down every year since (partly due to younger stars coming in and partly due to injuries; i.e. DeMarchi's check from behind two years ago and a monster, but clean, hit in St Cloud last year). I applaud Tyler's perseverance and dedication to his team. Hopefully he can show off some of his playmaking skills during the Subway Classic and the St Cloud series. Here's a holiday wish....Palmo scores a GWG in St Cloud! Quote
Fighting Sioux Fan Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 He is a hard working lad, I hope that he does good, too! He deserves it! Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 Hope he continues to work hard, I love to see these types of players also. Quote
Smoggy Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 You gotta admire that he's stayed when he could've bailed and played at a lot of other DI programs. Go get em T! Quote
11~ZachAttack~11 Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 And he scores a goal tonight too!! Good job Tyler!! Quote
Goon Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 What a night for that line. Hale 1g-2a=3 points Palmo 1g-1a=2 points Marvin 1g-0a=1 point. ___________________ 5 points if my math is right. On a side note Fuher had a 1g-2a=3 points tonight. James Massen and Chris Porter had three points on the weekend. Quote
Diggler Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 What a night for that line. Hale 1g-2a=3 points Palmo 1g-1a=2 points Marvin 1g-0a=1 point. ___________________ 5 points if my math is right. It isn't. 3+2+1=6 Quote
Goon Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 It isn't. 3+2+1=6 Yeah your right, by my math you could have thought that I went to school at SCCC or NDSU... Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Great night for that line. It was a great showing by the team tonight. Quote

11~ZachAttack~11 Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Hey congrats Tyler! He got engaged over the holidays... or so they were saying during the game. Really? How did you hear that? Anyone else have any info? Quote
jerseychaser1 Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 I was watching the game on channel 7 and one of the commentators (Sp?) said that he got engaged. Coach Blaise also became a grand father for his 3rd time, too. Quote
Guest Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 I'm so happy for Tyler, getting engaged and having a great game. Its also great to see that the former East Grand Forks player is showing the talent that we have on this side of the river. I can see more big things happening to him this year. Great Job Tyler, and good luck with the rest of the season. Quote
PCM Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Here's what Tyler said in the USCHO recap: "A good week for me," Palmiscno said with a smile. "A birthday. A goal is nice. I got engaged. What's next week?" Quote
11~ZachAttack~11 Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Congrats to Tyler on the engagement!!!!! Quote
Smoggy Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 Palmo got engaged to his girlfriend since 8th grade. I was very pleased with the way his line played this weekend. I finally got to see some live Sioux hockey this year, and my former classmate doesn't disappoint. I thought they were the line of the weekend. Looking forward to watching them in St. Cloud on Saturday. Quote
