JESUS,family, rutgers Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 So sorry the university has been forced into dropping the Fighting Sioux name, but as a non-alumnus and big fan I will continue to use the name here in New Jersey.I have been wearing jerseys and hats for a while now and NO ONE has ever said I was wearing something offensive or hostile.-- Do any of you know when merchandise with the Fighting Sioux name and logo will no longer be available from licensed companies/stores? GO FIGHTING SIOUX !!! GO SCARLET KNIGHTS !!! Quote
Just Curious Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I emailed the SiouxShop and just got a reply. They said they will continue to sell merchandise with the Sioux Logo on it until they can on longer get it. They suggested in the email that they will probably have Sioux logo apparel until the end of the school year. Quote
JESUS,family, rutgers Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 I wonder how long companies can continue to make products with Fightin Sioux on them. Quote
MissSioux85 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I wonder how long companies can continue to make products with Fightin Sioux on them. According to Peter Johnson (UND rep), March 31, 2012 is the last day to manufacture Sioux merchandise and apparel. Quote
JESUS,family, rutgers Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 MissSioux85, Thank you for the update. Quote
siouxfaninseattle Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 According to Peter Johnson (UND rep), March 31, 2012 is the last day to manufacture Sioux merchandise and apparel. And they have until June 30th to sell it. Quote
Cratter Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 And they have until June 30th to sell it. That's the manufacturer. The stores have until their supply runs out. 1 Quote
Sioux68 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Theoretically we could sell it for 10 years if we plan it and order mass quantities. Quote
darell1976 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Theoretically we could sell it for 10 years if we plan it and order mass quantities. With a hell of a markup price on it. Quote
MAIDEN Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Technology is easy. With Inkscape (or Photoshop) software and all the cheap modern embroidery machines today, it's pretty easy to make whatever Sioux gear you need, from your iPad. I just printed a 36" by 40" commercial quality Fighting Sioux logo poster to go in my garage the other day. It's Sweet and Perfect! That along with all the non-trademark Sioux stuff from the past, you don't need to rely on UND to sell you Sioux Gear. Just make it yourself. Quote
JESUS,family, rutgers Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 Maiden, I have enough trouble using the internet LOL. How is the quality from siouxpride.com ? Quote
