jojordan23 Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 Does not contain an "s". Crimson tide and Illini are 2 Dude, think of what you just said. You said "contains" an "s". If you are talking about plurals, you should say ENDS in "s". Because otherwise what you stated makes no sense. You said crimSon tide does not contain an "s". Quote
jojordan23 Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 Here's some more(I-AA's included) Howard Bison Navy Midshipmen Notre Dame Fighting Irish UMass Minutemen Somebody explain this to me. Are you looking for mascots that are SINGULAR, not PLURAL, ones that do not end in "s", or both? There are alot of mascots listed by people here that are PLURAL, but DO NOT END in "s". "Bison", can that not be plural OR singular? "OrangmEn" is plural, "OrangemAn" is singular. Same with the "MidshipmEN", that is also plural. "Fighting Irish", that is in reference to a group of people, so I am not sure about that one. But just because something does not end in "s", it doesn't actually mean that it is a singular noun. UNA Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 The original question should be can you name all of the DI football programs that do not end in "s"? Quote
