12065 yep, 91w

Do an Auto scan (blind Scan) or enter (or edit) a new transponder.

yas it says im on galaxy 11 91w

Im showing two FSSN channels from my autoscan.

One should be from last year but niether is 12065.

one is 12187

and the other is 12024

and each of these are showing no signal.

I''ll go enter the 12065 4870 manually and see what i get but im guessing if my auto scan doesn't get it I'm having the same signal problem as others, I am in Denver...

also does your channel guide say FSSN or just occasional???

PSB, Could it be that those of us having trouble are just a bit over or under the arch and this transponder is just a little more touchy than others?

I ask because im tempted to go out to my dish and just give it a little tilt up and down when tuned to this transponder.

Right now im getting zero on 12065 4870. 10% = nothing

Did anyone else have to rescan the satellite tonight after last weeks Football game i thought I would be ok, but I had to rescan, Why is that? Did anyone else have issues with the feed tonight?

Sounds like the majority of people are having difficulty tonight...the exceptions being our Satellite experts PSB, Iceberg, etc....

I was getting a low signal on the FSSN feed (not for the regular channels on 91w), and found 1 click west (I have a motorized system) and my signal jumped to 60% for FSSN.

Jakenine also a member on the Satelliteplus.US forum asked if there is ANYTHING he can do to get enough signal to watch the game. He has tried peaking his fixed dish but with no joy.

I told him we were at the end of the road here, garbage (signal) in Garbage out.............

but then I remebered this thread from a German member we have on the forum. he had similar issiues with a transponder that he dearly wanted to get...... so he made himself a cardboard feedhorn, and it worked!

I will give it a try later today if i get the time but here is a link on how to make one : )

Peter,

Thanks for your help and the video you posted. I live in Lakeville and have gotten very strong FSSN signals for 4 years until yesterday.

Very poor signal last night. 10%.

I'll be checking back here later today for further suggestions.

Thanks.

And your other transponders on 91w were fine I guess.

I am in the process of making a cardboard feed-horn, and I will test it on some weak signals, then the game at 4pm

if it works I envision a new career in origami : )

I'm wanting to make sure my dish is pointed at the correct satellite (91w). Can someone tell me a channel or channels they currenttly have on 91w?

Old faithful is there 24/7 (in black and white)

Freq. 12055

Pol. V

SR. 13350

73% signal quality the kind of level you require for a conus satellite feed ; )

Also a football game at 73%

Freq. 11973

Pol. H

SR. 13230

And the usual few LIVE news feeds, also at decent signal quality in the 70s

OK with just over 2 hours to go before game time I made a cardboard feed-horn

I DID see better signals on weak feeds, enough to make the difference between getting a picture and not getting a picture.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, this will not work if you get no signal at all, but will help only if your picture is breaking up.

And of course your results may vary.
