Fetch
From here on out Now don't take this as all negative - I think this is one of the best Teams I have seen The 4 lines can all get it (er) done & Eidness has been Awesome The biggest thing is the PP - Imagine if the % went up (even just a little) & after getting the lead (by 1 goal) in the 3rd - not going into defensive mode (Play our game) & get that Killer instinct - Finish em off by scoring another one or two etc. I know that trap / crap works for some teams - but it is just not us - play all our lines - so we have that extra energy at the end - now that CC is gone - I don't think any other team can match the depth of our lines PS....Vandy seems to really come alive at the F5 There are guys on this Team who can be & were big time offensive threats & they should not hold back & expect a few of our top guys to do it all (Like I think was the case in the recent past)
Goon
I also think that this team is focused as a team, and plays well as a team. Guts out gritty wins..

We need to keep on the offensive like we did against Minnesota and Friday's game against Denver.
Siouxdonyms
I also think that this team is focused as a team, and plays well as a team. Guts out gritty wins.. I'm not buying any of it. People on this board have said the same thing about the last two teams to go into the playoffs and they flopped when it came to the FF. I hope they go far, but I won't be surprised if they don't. My expectations are low for this team, largely due to the last few years. I hope they surprise me.

With this attitude we wouldn't have won the championship in '97. But i guess giving up on our team before the games are even played is a good attitude... I believe that's called a fair weather fan or in my book not a fan at all. I might understand if we were Colorado College fans and hadn't won since '57 but even they have a better attitude. I agree we might not be favored going into the NCAA's, but come on! it's not like we're the 1980 Olympic Team going up against the Russians. Just because someone doesn't think they're going to win the National Championship every year doesn't mean they aren't a good fan. The team has been good lately, but so have the last 3-4 teams in the 2nd half. It's about winning titles. The 1997 team is the exception, not the rule. Do people who don't think their team is going to win care less, or don't cheer as hard? No. Do they want the team to fail? Absolutely not. The last few years the team has been one of the favorites each year due to their hot streak...and not one of them pulled it off. Maybe comments like this are what the team needs to bring home the chunk of wood the NC$$ gives out in April.
mikejm
Thank goodness (or the hockey gods, or whomever) that we Fighting Sioux fans even get to watch our team play in March and April what seems like every year.

I couldn't agree more that this team was an exception, but I'm holding out for another one of those... that's what gets me most excited as a fan. I believe our team can beat any team in the nation on any given night and I think Hak and every player on that team would agree. I know that it is possible and has been done before so why not this year? I guess I'm more of an optimist than a realist when it comes to my hockey team and that's the difference in our viewpoints.
