SCSU looks for answers after another game of mental errors and failed third-downs - www.universitychronicle.com

With their backs against the wall, the SCSU defense forced a fumble on the goal line, but the ball was recovered by Sioux running back Brandon Brady, putting UND up 24-3.

Wrong. Grover recovered the fumble.

Later in the third, the Huskies would get the ball in the North Dakota zone after Josh Murray recovered a fumble.

What? We recovered a fumble and the Huskies get the ball? We got screwed.

Good luck to the Huskies.

The defense is not getting any pressure on the QB. He had all day, and definitely could have eaten us up with #8. Along with the defensive gripes, we can hit but it seems like we can't tackle. Frustrating.

Popcorn is kind of expensive. Eat at tailgating, and eat at tailgating again after the game.

Travesty averted

Before the kickoff of last Saturday's home game versus St. Cloud State, UND officials were worried one football tradition would have to take a week off.

As UND officials were inflating the large football helmet in the northwest corner of the Alerus Center, a seam burst, deflating the helmet instantly. Mike Schepp, the assistant athletic director for operations, quickly contructed a patch for the helmet, which was re-inflated just in time for the team to run onto the field.

Schepp credits his many years of working in equipment rooms, however, he doesn't believe he's ever had to fix a helmet that big.
