According to Heisenberg, the only current Theif kid I found committed is Forney. Someone could have left Theif to play jrs though. White had a great game last night but seems to have had an inconsistent year. There seems to be an awful lot of talented sophs and frosh in Minnesota this year.

Did you guys see the Hanowski kid (Ben?) from Little Falls? Talk about great hands, and he's only a frosh. I had never seen Forney play until yesterday, he looked skilled in the offensive zone. I didn't see enough of him to judge skating. Does anyone have a good handle on that?

The level of hockey played in single A has really jumped in the last few years. Used to be a yawner, but the quarters on Wed were exciting.

My predictions: Gophs over AA in 2 Pio's over Dogs in 2 Bucky over Tech in 3 CC over JBSU in 3 Mavs over Sioux in 3 I know the Sioux are playing well but the Mavs looked awfully good in sweeping Bucky 2 weeks ago. I would predict them over CC and JBSU too. Should be a great series.

I think it is difficult to be objective over a subjective award, although Dagies is as close as I've seen. If Oshie and Kessell were on each others teams Gopher fans would be harping about two-way play and Sioux fans would be saying to just look at the numbers. They are both great players having very good years. I don't care who wins ROTY, just who wins April 8th.

He has also learned how to draw them. Lesson 1: When on the boards with the puck look to see who is coming to hit you. At the last second, turn you back towards them. Lesson 2: After impact throw yourself face-first into the boards. With as little movement as possible, slide onto the ice and remain motionless until you hear the whistle and the offending party cuss or guffaw.(REMEMBER TO NOT PEAK AT THE REF UNTIL YOU HEAR THE WHISTLE). Lesson 3: Skate back to the bench and wink at Gwoz, a great teacher. The beauty of turning toward the hit is that the offending party can't adjust their momentum in time to avoid the collision, thereby turning a good legal hit into a major and a gamer. Pauk used this strategy at least twice against the Gophers. Earl was jealous.

I respect your opinion though I think it is wishful thinking of a Sioux fan. The Gophers never have and never will get all the players they want from Minnesota. They are very fortunate in most of the time getting a majority of the ones they want. The examples of players lost is too exhaustive to list, most of them going to UND, UW and eastern schools. Every year they get most but always lose a couple.
