  1. Argue about the injuries all you want, but UND's situation is not unique in college football, this year or any year. Several teams have lost their starting QB, a few that come to mind are Villanova, James Madison, Montana (already mentioned). If the playoff selection committee were to consider scenarios like the one you describe, then all FCS teams could come up with a similar scenario. So, as siouxfan512 stated: "you have to go by the product you have on the field", the committee bases their selection on the entire season, no matter who was or wasn't in the starting line-up for each team. Anyways, IMHO, the selection committee will consider UND's final record, which if it is 7-4, can make a case for being in the playoffs, based on who they've played and beat.
  2. The article is from 11/03/2013, but if you click the link to the bracket, the bracket was updated 10/31/15

    Bye Week

I agree if UND wins out, they are in. Lose and they are out. Doesn't matter what anyone else does.
  4. IIRC, there is a limit to the number of coaches FCS teams can have (also FBS, but larger number). The difference from NDSU, is the Offense of coordinator coaches running backs instead of quarterbacks.
  5. It's too bad the bye week is not next. I think UND could use a chance to re-focus going into the last three games.
  6. Well wait a minute, isn't winning FCS championships the easiest??? Why is it taking several years? Seriously tho.
  7. [waiting for UND to do it]
  8. broadcasting live from Witmer hall-Calc 2
  9. what is the magical number of posts to gain credibility?
  10. UND blocked like that multiple times Saturday, but didn't break anyone's leg... It's a sad, sad deal that the kid got hurt. I could tell it was hard for Bubba to talk about it in the post game presser, but Bubba even said this happens sometimes. Can we please move on?
  11. It is amazing you can tell the intent of a player from a video board replay. In reality you can't. You're argument is the same as me saying I saw UND defenders punching our O-Linemen in the groin on the ground after the whistle was blown (that is as dirty as it gets). Finally, someone tell Cole Reyes to take his hat off during the post game presser. That is low-class sore loser action.
  12. prove it! that photo shows nothing.
  13. I have not seen the video, it would be great if you could post it. The photo that was posted shows nothing. It is a snapshot during a fast moving series of events, and none on of us can say from one photo if it is a dirty play. Don't make accusations without some type of evidence, it makes you seem like a sore loser.
  14. so you think when Klieman says: he is "whining" and "low-class"?
  15. it is terrible that he was injured, but no need to accuse the opponent of a dirty play.
  16. What quote of Klieman's are you referring to as low class? If you're gonna be a sore loser, just re-read Schlossman and Miller's articles in the Herald from last week. They will make you feel all warm inside
  17. I listened to the interview. I thought he did a good job. what exactly did you wish to hear or expect from him? I hope you're not upset about the little jab he took at UND... it was harmless.
  18. skimmed through the online magazine a little, and it was well done. I am starting to get excited for this!! on another note, the founder and owner of Spotlight Media (company that publishes Bison Illustrated) is former NDSU punter Mike Dragosavich. I feel like he has done a great job with the magazine in recent years.
  19. is it as funny as the MVFC having 2 teams in the top 5, and the Big Sky having 1? Truly it doesn't matter. But nice that UND got some attention.
  20. Matt Larson said in the press conference he spoke with MVFC and Summit. Maybe email Jeff and ask why he didn't include that if you are so curious. I think he was the one that asked Larson the question.
  21. not necessarily. This is a high ankle sprain, and it is different from what most of us are familiar with (like a rolled ankle from pick up bball). listen to the Jack Michaels show podcast. He has an Ortho surgeon on talking about the physiology of a high ankle sprain.
  22. he did not throw a punch.
  23. I thought the max limit for fcoa per the NCAA is $4,000? Does anyone know for sure? I've seen a few different numbers in this thread.
