Actually his lack of strength and bulk becomes less of an issue the farther one gets from the hoop. Plenty of 4's are tall and lanky. Joey King Big Ten 6'9" 225,Facey from U Conn 6'9 205, Lattin OKLA. 6'9 200. Shanks listed at 7' 235 is the same as Kaminsky The All American from Wisc. Kaminsky has been training for years and he is listed at 7' 234lb.. Shanks length and mobility would allow him to play the 4/stretch 4, in the Big Sky If necessary... He is the best 5 and 2nd best 4 on the team right now.
-
Not sure Shanks will add much weight. He stopped growing as a high school soph. and still has not filled out. Listed weigh is same as it was at Utah St. Shanks could slide over to the 4 as he has decent footwork and shooting touch for a 7FT guy.

Shanks at 10ppg is leading freshman Big Sky scorer in conference play

Are you a douche or just a moron troll?
-
With a weak rebounding 5 and small guards you need to Coleman who has the second best rebounding efficiency on the team
-
UND Also blew leads and lost close games. Pitino won NIT with tubby's players. Tubby NCAA championship with Pitino Players. First lousy year in Big Sky for Jones. Why panic?
-
und 2 point underdog.... Coleman needs more PT gotta rebound or shoot the lights out. 3 point guard system is failing.
-
Did start a few games as true freshman for denver which is pretty impressive. Got nicked up and minutes were reduced. Denver ran a Princeton style offense and Bernstine fits in better with up tempo. Very strange UND did not redshirt Shields. He looks 6'9" and might be ok if he fills out and refines his skills.

Seales Mix Tape from Saturday...http://www.courtsidefilms.com/news_article/show/464968?referrer_id=1203619

Was listed 6'8" 202 when at Denver U 2 years ago. pretty good hops..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vybe5VKxFuo.................https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IlUibz0UKU

from rivals hoops. North Dakota are getting a steal in Cortez Seales. A 6-foot-4 shooting guard, Seales.... North Scott team took a tough loss but it wasn't without a fight from him. A slender athlete who is adept at creating space, Seales has a balanced game and he rebounds his position extremely well. He finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds to go along with a pair of assists.

Birnstine not as light as Nash. Birnstine can play the 3 or4. If UND can recruit a bruiser to get rebounds Birnstine could play the 3. Taking a kids free ride not good PR and could hurt recruiting.... The staff made a mistake on the kid live with it. Plus redshirting him kept him around for 5 years instead of 4. Maybe Shane will graduate or give up is scholly... Being that he averaged 9 ppg and was only 2nd team all conference in high school Jones should not have redshirted him and let him finish in 4
-
Jones is counting on Bernstine to man the 4. Dirden got this player for UND. Seems like a good athlete with good skills for a 6'8 kid.
-
Do not see Benton leaving and coaches very rarely pull a scholarship. If Benton has is degree he might move on. Doubt if anyone will quit this spring , why turn down a trip to Italy this summer .
-
Josiah would help this team on the boards from the 3. UND with small guards and centers who do not rebound that well. Jo can help on the boards and on the surface it seems he should get more time.... Playing time is earned during practice and some times JUCO kids need a year of seasoning to blossom. Other than FG% JO stats are not bad . He is rebounding at the second best clip per minute played and and averaging 1 steal every 14.6 minutes.

no scholarships left. Collins getting 10pts a game . Pretty much a spot up shooter, good athlete who can defend from the small fwd slot. Not very skilled with respect to ball handling and passing. At 6'4/5" he rarely puts the ball on the floor .. Role would be strong defender. Adam has good guard size at 6'4," not much of an athlete OK skills, only strength is perimeter shooting. His team a preseason top 2 3A school in Iowa is now unranked and has lost more than won. See him as a possible zone buster. Seales ...if he keeps improving his range will be a excellent off guard. Has some lead guard skills, High IQ, very good mid-range game and he can put the ball on the floor. Seales might be need to play 3 slot at UND for a year or 2 since they have very little success at the 3 with current players. UND will need to shore up the 3 spot so Seales can play guard ..probably will transfer if UND does not move him to a guard slot by his junior year. Him and Geno should be a very good to outstanding guard combo.

Pitino is 0 and 4 in Big Ten with 4 starters back from NIT champs at MN. If Jones needs to be canned than Pitino really needs to be canned...maybe UND can replace Jones with Pitino.
-
Collins and Mcdermott are looking like role players/projects likely to redshirt.

Cortez Seales finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds. #iahsbkb 0 replies1 retweet1 favorite Reply Retweet1 Favorite1 More Tony Roe @tonysroe ยท 12m12 minutes ago Can't say it enough - Cortez Seales is an absolute steal for North Dakota.
