No…2 minute boarding call. 100%. Yes, “looked” cleaned and was a great hit but have to call a boarding call there. 5 min. penalty call was excessive and was bs, I’ll agree there.

Regardless, what were the shots? Red River was the > team last night. They’re rolling, their skill, speed, puck movement, execution looked real good!

Haven watched too much high school hockey this year, but people here said RR has had slow starts and that gets  them in trouble. In state so far, look like they’re answering the bell there. Lastly, with Tim’s kid (Carson) injured, their depth looks solid. Carson is a good small/player. I wouldn’t even know he was out of the lineup the last 2 games while watching on tv.

Think the two best teams are in the final tonight  So that’s good to see!

There is no such thing as a 2 minute boarding call.

    Can verify.

Relative played. Twisted Pint was a nearby “cooling station”. We all wondered by UND didn’t volunteer the ITF or GF offer Alerus.

Having the lights automatically shutdown at Cushman in the second semifinal once it hit midnight was quite the experience.

The more I think on it, it should be a slash, shouldn't it? Think about high sticking; Intent doesn't matter. if you hit someone high its two minutes. You can't just run around the rink swinging your stick all willy-nilly not giving a !@#$. If you accidently slash someone, it's a slash. And there was no "hockey play" reason for him to swing his stick out like he did.

I see no problem with two minutes for slashing.

Yep. How do they rule that the faceoff stays in the zone because Albrecht didn't skate into the net on purpose, but also decide that the diving stick swinging player didn't trip him? Can't have it both ways unless you are officiating by the scoreboard.

No argument with that. The announcers even said "this faceoff should come outside", which it obviously didn't. Definitely a trip.

It also appears that on the Albrecht breakaway chance that the Duluth player may have thrown his stick when I watched the game highlights on NCHCtv

He doesn't throw his stick. It is a trip for sure but probably wouldn't be given as a penalty shot.

Doesn’t matter, any contact with the blade of the stick is an automatic 5 and disqualification. Gesturing is 5 and a game misconduct.

Except it's not a spear. If anything at all, it's a slash, and a one-handed slash at that.
