What is your basement acceptable threshold(contract extension) for Bubba in 2022? 4 wins?  5 wins?  6 wins? Playoffs?

I guess I missed the part where anybody is advocating for an extension?

My wife says the same thing......"it" is understood of course.

And that's the point. He's genuinely right with most things he says, it's the saying them over and over which gets old. Makes checking the football side of the forum painful at times.

No one in the entire United States of America would take Otis over hunter on there football team!!!

I just can’t comprehend that you actually posted that comment logically.

Thank you for once again proving that NDSU has the most insecure fanbase in all of sports.

If that's your interpretation go for it but didn't you just call him a realist??

Completely sarcastic. He's not a realist, he's a pessimist. Nobody is happy with the underperforming that happened this fall. Just because he feels the need to talk about it ALL THE TIME doesn't make him better than anyone.

Better than an enabling apologist for the UND FB program. Plenty of those around here.

Ah yes, right back to the "unless you're super negative about everything and sh!t on anything positive somebody says, you're not a real fan"

Don’t disagree.  You have made my point.  The Bison are still playing and we haven’t played for almost a month.

don’t forget the first fumble happened on a trick play with a sizable lead.  How many times had Otis practiced that play?  Otis had been awol two weeks earlier for most of that week.

I’m obviously tired of being in the top 35 of FCS when UND should always be top 10.  I also have lost faith it will happen with Bubba.  I’m a realist.

Yeah dude, we get it. You're a realist. You're also a broken record saying the same sh!t over and over again.

Oh Tommy, so so damn good ….

He engineered a whopping 10 points again the bizon.
otherwise, UND offense pretty dang special, 24 points per game …

    UND needs to do better

The overlord has spoken everybody. If you don't think the football team is complete trash or if you are trying to be positive about anything, you're not a "real" fan.

Many (most?) schools do that to thank the fans, regardless of win or loss. I really like the UND culture of making it stand for a sweep only.

Hasn't that changed this year? Haven't we been doing stick salutes every Saturday?

I guess time will tell.  I guess the way I look at this is that as the season wears on to tournament time a good shutdown line becomes just as important as a good scoring punch.  Look at when the Frattin team lost to Mich. their defense beat our high powered offense.  Just depends what side of the puck you look at I guess.

Nobody is disagreeing with the importance of a shutdown line. You're just exaggerating how good the Jammer line is. Is it a decent line that can be effective? Sure. Is it the best line in all of college hockey? No, not even close.

I disagree.  Look back to 2016 do we win a natty without the heavy line.  Most rational thinkers would say no way.  What is more important, scoring goals or preventing the other team from scoring goals?  When it comes to tournament time shutting down a teams top line wins championships more than trying to outscore a team.  I won't budge from my opinion.

But we're not talking about the heavy line right now? Unless you're comparing this Jammer line with a line that has had all three members of it play in the NHL.

Can you give me a better shut down line that can also create offense on a regular basis.  On a 200 foot basis I say they are the best.  What line is better?

They have a combined 24 points in 17 games. That's not creating offense on a regular basis. They're also a combined -6 on the season.

Is it a good line? Sure. Is it the best line in college hockey? No.

They are tenacious on the puck like a pack of Junk Yard Dogs chasing down an intruder into the yard.  They have shut down or nearly shut down every line Berry has put them up against.  They play 200 feet every night.  I just can't say enough good things about these three.

They're also not the best line in college hockey.
