If they call a 5 only after review it needs to be egregious.
But they had the penalty called on the ice.

It sure doesn’t but it makes the comeback even harder, no?
But if you can't score 5v5, is it not worth the risk?

We can’t get anything going on the pp and we pull the goalie thinking we can score with the man advantage.
Does losing by two goals count against us more than losing by one?

Holy dive from Driscoll

If it's not a misconduct then it doesn't deserve 5.
That doesn't make any sense at all.

BS call, ref next to the call didn’t lift his arm but the clown at center ice did!
It's definitely a penalty, so maybe you're the clown.

Embarrassing.

Maybe the worst powerplay of the season, and that's saying a lot.

Since that wouldn’t have been a penalty in the nhl last night I think most people would disagree.
It absolutely would have been a penalty and he would have had somebody his size dropping the gloves with him right after.

Cc player doesn’t turn at the last second either he’s fine too. Hopefully that will be in the rule changes.
It won't be, so don't get your hopes up. Checking will be taken out of the game before they ever put the onus on the player being checked.

The ship was just sailing so smooth?
I would say nothing about this weekend has been smooth sailing.

No problem with the call but does that get called if CC player doesn't lay on the ice?
CC player doesn't lay on the ice if the hit isn't delivered.

That's a bad hit.

No goal can be scored as a result of the puck being propelled by the hand of an attacking player regardless if the puck enters the goal directly from the hand or deflects off of any player prior to entering the goal.
So they are saying it was propelled/batted instead of just being deflected?
I say it was deflected and should have counted.
It was propelled in though. Not a deflection.

It's off his glove, not his stick.

Lol chill man, we won.
He's just saying he doesn't think Cag and Costo have similar playing styles and they really don't. Cag was is more of a playmaker, shifty player. Costo is north and south and does the right small things to succeed. I can see what you're saying in general, though. I expect him to keep getting better and his defensive game and effort stand out most to me. He'll be top 6 big time for us his last two seasons. He'd have to make a pretty big jump statistically to leave early. I think he's super talented but will likely never have the numbers Cag did.
Cag's also had quite a nasty side to him. Spent a decent amount of time in the penalty box and I seem to remember him as a freshman blowing guys up routinely. Frozen Faceoff against Miami he destroyed Sean Kuraly. Not Costantini's style at all. The only similarity I see is they can both put the puck in the net. Hopefully he develops as well as Drake did.

Thanks for the reply, farce. As I said, I'm no great hockey mind, but the flashes of excellence we see from Costantini remind me of early UND Caggiula. Certainly not always great, and not even always good, but at least one time per game it shows up. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm going to keep my eye on him.
Costantini's game isn't similar to Caggiula's at all.

Allright! great input everyone! At least Oxbow wasn't bitching.
What are you even asking? Is Costantini going to be a 4 year player? Maybe yes, maybe no. Is Costantini similar to Caggiula? In how they play, not really.

The guy who went 2-8 his last year in Louisville? Or the guy who quit on his NFL team midseason because they were 3-10? Not to mention personal issues.
Let's see how he is able to actually sustain something before we're crowning Bobby Petrino as some sort of magician. He brought in a ridiculous amount of transfers and UND should have still beat them at their place until *checks notes* one of our RB's fumbled as we were running out the clock. Must not be all that good of a coach if he could barely squeak by UND's incompetent staff...Also, the same guy who got his !@#$ kicked in the playoffs by the current "incompetent" staff at UND.

I think Bobby Petrino is paging you down at Missouri State...
2015 - 0-8/1-10
2016 - 2-6/4-7
2017 - 2-6/3-8
2018 - 2-6/4-7
2019 - 1-7/1-10
Petrino
2020 - 5-1 CHAMPS/5-5 NCAA playoffs
2021 - 6-2 RUNNER UP/8-4 NCAA playoffs
So, coaching is the only thing that matters?

When you have ownership that won't invest in the franchise and commit to putting a winner on the field, it is hard to be successful in Detroit.
So, there's a lot more to it than just coaching?

Back at you!
If you want me to talk strictly as a fan, I will tell you that we will pull of an upset in Lincoln, win every game and then beat the Bison in Fargo and Bubba will be coach of the year. How's that.
If you want to get an opinion on the difference coaching makes in football, how about you ask Matt Stafford.
Speaking of the Lions, quite a few coaching changes with that franchise and yet they're still a dumpster fire.
