Need to at least attempt the deep balls to keep them honest otherwise they will just stack the box or bring up their safety coverage. Our short passing and running game rely on teams making the choice to give us the short or long game advantage. Tommy can make the throws but he has been too conservative on some of those deep throws because I’m sure he doesn’t want a pick.

All 7-4 or better MVFC teams will get in

YSU has a good team, I wouldn’t say they are a bottom feeder this year. They figured out how to throw in this game so I suppose that will give them another dimension in upcoming valley games. Their QB played well for his first start

We scored too quick in this game with a defense that can’t stop them. Would the game have been as close if we would have milked the clock on more drives.

Yeah I felt that way after the game. Our defense had a hard time stopping them all game. Our offense had to keep scoring and every time they got stopped gave me more heartburn. I’m glad we came out on top!

Me too I’ll take the 7 too but to say the blocked punt was the difference in the game is not quite true. We could have had the game put away in that other scenario and not put our defense out there for the final drive. It could have been a less stressful finish to the game!

That 4th down play was huge. Great play call by Holinka to bring 7. We knew they would throw it and had to get 16 yards down field. They put CJ out there all alone on their big WR and put trust that he would make a play. CJ made a good tackle and if not it would have been a TD. If they score there we would still have 1 min left to get a FG so that’s not as risky of a bet for our DC. YSU made a big mistake to quit running on that last drive. They had 4 min to play with. Going one dimensional gave UND the advantage in the pass game. YSU should have taken what we gave them like they had all game. YSU passed great for a running team because we committed to stopping the run. We may have to the same against NDSu and make the beat you through the air.

Blocked punt was huge but what if we get the ball back with good field position and drive down for a touchdown and burn 4+ minutes off the clock? That scenario might have been better as I feel like we scored too quick at times this game

Probably the worst MVFC officiating I’ve seen in a long time. I thought we were playing OOC today. Not sure how you don’t give Bo the first down on that one review. Looked clear as day! Then a review on the QB sack? Seriously? Wasn’t even close to targeting!

I think every game left will be a good game.

You never know. An undefeated MWC, Sunbelt, or AAC team could easily be the top G5 team. Some G5 team is going to get in so they all have a chance!

Has it worn off for Boise St? App St, GSU, ….? Now the top G5 team gets in the 12 team playoff which is exactly what the G5 lacked. Moving to FBS in FB is a no brainer if they could get an invite. How dare you! Simple Dan is gonna chew your a….

Or they could get a FB only invite which is more likely than getting a full invite to the CUSA or MWC. Regardless no invite is coming anytime soon. They better try to form their own FBS conference with MVFC teams.

Montanas don’t want to play or recruit in the Midwest. They want to stay in the west. MWC or a FBS WAC is what they want

NDSU would probably be a top G5 from the get go, look at JMU. Where they get crazy is thinking they will be Big 12 in a decade!!!!

Their best player needs to be on the field at all times. Need to feed him 20 times a game as he is unstoppable. What are they resting him for next week?
